A few sips of THIS could put your heart in the crosshairs
Friend, there’s a daily habit you need to know about that could put your cardiovascular health in the crosshairs.
I’m talking about stroke… heart attack… clogged arteries… and more.
Even if your heath is otherwise PERFECT… and you follow healthy eating habits and NEVER touch a drop of alcohol…
Doing this one simple thing could send your heart health into decline.
It may SEEM harmless…
But over the course of just a handful of years… this simple routine could do a number on your heart.
Research out of France reveals that study subjects who had THIS daily habit ended up SPIKING their cardiovascular risk over the course of more than 6 years of follow-up.
They consumed soft drinks!
I’m not talking about GUZZLING cola like there’s no tomorrow.
The HARSH reality is that many of them were simply TREATING themselves — with an average of just over 6 ounces per day.
That’s LESS than just 1 bottle… or even 1 can… of soda!
Now, you might think that the high sugar content is the culprit here…
But cardiovascular risk was ALSO elevated among those who drank artificially sweetened… or “diet”… soft drinks.
In fact, the elevated risk was associated with even LOWER amounts of fake sugar sodas – LESS than 6 ounces per day.
And this was after researchers adjusted for other factors… like high blood pressure and diabetes.
Now, I can’t say I’m surprised at all by this.
We already know how drinking as few as 2 carbonated beverages per day has been linked to chronic kidney disease…
And a TERRIFYING 2019 study showed how drinking 2 glasses daily of soda pop could put you in an early grave!
Compared to those who consume these carbonated beverages less than once a month, soda drinkers could see their risk of premature death SKYROCKET by 17%!
It wasn’t JUST heart disease that killed them… but also cancer.
But A LOT of the headlines you’ll see regarding the health risks of soft drinks will focus on consuming LARGE amounts… over a LONG period of time.
Either way, Big Soda CLEARLY isn’t happy with its reputation…
Because as I’ve you’ve read right here in eAlert, soda manufacturers have tried to spiff up their image from UNHEALTHY to HEALTHY!
Don’t fall for their ploys. Even their bottled water isn’t much better than plain ol’ tap water.
And it COULD be worse.
It’s clear that when it comes to soft drinks, there’s NO safe amount you can consume without worrying about your heart… and more.
Stick to spring water… herbal teas… an occasional coffee… and your homemade smoothies, where you can control what goes in them.
To avoiding the hard blow of soft drinks,
Sarah Reagan
