What meds are REALLY doing to your high blood pressure
If you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure (BP), most docs scribble out a prescription for BP meds faster than Usain Bolt runs the 100m!
Because Big Pharma has done a heck of a job convincing EVERYONE—even the experts—that drugs are the only path to better blood pressure.
But what if you’re taking BP meds… and your BP is STILL HIGH?!
Sadly, this scenario is real life for millions of Americans. And today I’m going to explain why…
And I bet you’re doing to want a serious come-to-Jesus moment with your doctor about your meds!
Researchers from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston (which just happens to be a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital) found that many individuals with hypertension (high BP) are taking medications that could RAISE their BP!
The study noted that 1 in 5 people with high BP are on drugs that increase it.
That’s 20%!
In other words, you could be taking OTHER drugs that are counteracting the purported effects of your BP drugs.
But here you are… still taking drugs that are supposed to lower your BP… only for it to remain HIGH!
If this alarms you, it’s time to have a serious conversation with your doctor about any and ALL meds you’re taking. Because they could mess with your BP levels if they interact with each other.
Also consider discussing natural alternatives to lowering your BP that don’t require drugs. For instance, upping your intake of lycopene is a great way to lower your numbers … naturally.
Simple changes in your diet and overall physical activity can go a long way without prescription drugs.
To not being dependent on meds,
