Get a glass of water…

Put them in your mouth…

And take them as directed…

That’s how you’re SUPPOSED to take your vitamins, supplements, and even prescription drugs (sigh)…

Well, according to one study, it turns out there might be a ‘RIGHT’ technique to taking your medications.

Now, you haven’t been doing anything wrong—but making this subtle switch today could ensure your medication is working more effectively.

Johns Hopkins University researchers have discovered that your POSTURE while taking pills has a direct correlation to how well your body absorbs them.

It’s part of a study called “StomachSim”—which is based on the realistic anatomy of the human stomach. It’s then used to analyze and quantify how effective medicines are, once swallowed.

And it turns out that lying on your RIGHT SIDE was the best way for your body absorb medicine—according to this study.

It’s a little quirky, but here are the major takeaways…

  • Lying on your right side sent pills into the deepest part of the stomach—allowing medication dissolution to take place 3X faster than sitting or standing upright.
  • If a pill took 10 minutes to dissolve on the right side, that same pill would take 23 minutes to dissolve in an upright posture… and over 100 minutes while on your left side.

Researchers hope to use this information to help refine optimal dosages—and dosing instructions—for all kinds of medications (including natural supplements).

Here’s my take on this…

There’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to take oral supplements (or drugs). Your body will absorb it as long as you follow the instructions on the product label.

But, if you are bed-ridden and cannot sit up, taking medications while lying on your right side could be beneficial.

If you want to take a deeper look at the StomachSim technology, a quick Google search will send you to the Hopkins study.

To new medical advances,

Sarah Reagan

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
