Another confounding coffee MYTH exposed!
I don’t get it.
It’s like they don’t want you to have too much of a GOOD thing…
Take for example, COFFEE.
Despite countless studies on the health benefits of drinking coffee… the mainstream seems to find a reason for you NOT to drink it.
Well, the anti-coffee brigade is at it again. This time telling you what coffee WON’T do for you.
But once again, I’m going to unwrap the TRUTH and tell you what it WILL do for your health!
The latest myth around coffee? According to Spanish scientists, the “pick-me-up” you might feel from your morning joe could all be IN YOUR HEAD.
Yes, this latest study published in the journal, Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience, suggests that the “buzz” you feel from your first morning cup of coffee might be more psychological than physiological…
The perceived energy boost from a morning coffee could be more of a placebo effect rather than an effect of the actual caffeine.
Folks, here’s what caffeine does to your body.
When you consume it, it BLOCKS sleep-promoting receptors in your brain called adenosine receptors. This is what “wakes” you up.
But it also affects everyone differently. Not everyone feels like they can jump through the roof after a sip of coffee. In fact, most don’t get a “buzz” (as the study eludes), they simply feel more awake and alert.
But regardless, let this serve as a friendly reminder of what coffee CAN do for your health (and none of this is in your head!).
It’s good for your heart… aids your brain… helps your metabolism…
And guys, it even helps protect your prostate.
So regardless of how you may “feel” after a cup of coffee, there’s plenty of health benefits to drinking it (even the decaf variety).
In case you need it, here’s some insights on how to make the HEALTHIEST cup of coffee.
