Tack on 5 years to your life… with FAT?!
FAT.
To the mainstream, it’s the devil in disguise.
But for readers of eAlert, you already know that not all fats are created equal… and that including certain fats in your diet is actually GOOD FOR YOU!
Once again, I’m here to show you that you shouldn’t always believe everything you hear from mainstream medicine…
That’s because new research confirms that FAT is GOOD for you… and can actually add YEARS to your life!
Check this out…
According to a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, eating high levels of omega-3 fatty acids (especially in oily fish like salmon) can contribute to a lifespan five years LONGER than the norm.
Researchers found that increasing your omega-3 levels by just 1% reduces your risk of death just as much as quitting smoking!
In other words, FAT can literally add five healthy years to your life!
Now, the health benefits of omega-3s are well-documented, so this shouldn’t come as a complete surprise…
But the study also found that four types of fatty acids contribute positively to human life expectancy—including two SATURATED fatty acids!
This is important because most mainstream experts continually vilify saturated fats of any kind… even though research shows that having fat in your diet helps you stay healthy.
Now, this isn’t a license to start eating gobs of fat every day… but remember that eating ‘good’ fats consistently is good for your overall health and longevity.
Eating fatty fish like salmon 1-2 days each week is a great (and tasty) way to ensure you’re getting enough omega-3s.
If you’re not keen on the taste of fish, you can also take omega-3 supplements. They are easily found at most grocery stores, pharmacies, and health food stores.
Your best bet when hunting for supplements is to look for reputable brands that are made from sustainably caught fish and go through rigorous testing (which is usually noted on the label).
To the truth about fat,
