An international research study out of Spain has discovered a new wrinkle to your diet and exercise routine…
Drinking coffee 30 minutes BEFORE exercising in the afternoon MAXIMIZES your body’s fat burning!
Caffeine has long been associated as a great way to ‘wake up’ the body, and many people feel that their workouts are better if they have a little coffee beforehand.
But now research confirms that a little Java actually helps jumpstart your body’s fat-burning potential.
Researchers found that caffeine ingestion 30 minutes before performing an aerobic exercise test increased maximum fat oxidation during exercise. (Fat oxidation is the process of breaking down fatty acids.)
And get this, they found that fat oxidation levels were HIGHER during afternoon workouts than morning workouts.
In other words, exercising ANY time of day is good for you… but if you’re looking to drop some extra pounds, having a little coffee and working out in the afternoon gives your body’s fat burning a little extra JOLT.
Now, if you’re a ‘morning person’ and like to get your physical activity done early in the day… KEEP IT GOING!
But if you’re looking to get a little bit more out of your workouts, consider a small cup of coffee followed by a short walk around the neighborhood.
