Who DOESN’T love cozying up in their favorite chair, couch, or loveseat?

Especially this time of year!

Admittedly, even I can’t resist watching my favorite show wrapped in a warm blanket on my comfy couch.

But the reality is…

Sitting TOO LONG and TOO MUCH can damage your body.

Today I’ll give you the details on how to stay healthy while enjoying a little guilt-free rest and relaxation!

A study published in the journal JAMA Cardiology found that the more you SIT each day, you run a greater risk of developing serious cardiovascular problems…

And it increases your odds of an early death!

The study found that sitting six-to-eight hours a day will raise your risk of heart disease by 13% and a premature death by 12%.

Look, none of this should come as a huge shock. Of course, if you lay around most of the day for weeks on end, there’s a good chance your health could tank.

The bottom line is, too much sitting can be unhealthy—no matter what physical shape you’re in.

Which is why it’s important to get UP and moving.

The study found that every 30 minutes of sitting replaced with exercise can cut the odds of heart disease and death by about 2%.

It may not sound like much… but every little bit helps!

It’s perfectly okay to spend some time unwinding on your couch… just be sure to balance it with some physical activity.

Go for a walk each day. And if you’re home or working, stand up and move when you can.

And if you find yourself seated for more than an hour, get up and walk around a bit, even if it’s just a few minutes around your house.
