Strap on your SHOES to beat type 2 diabetes?
If you have type 2 diabetes…
The mainstream will tell you there’s only one path to BEATING it!
Can you guess what it is?
Drugs… drugs… and more drugs!
But as usual, they’re only giving you a glimpse of the total treatment picture.
Because today, I have the science behind a simple way to naturally beat type 2 diabetes…
And it starts by grabbing your SHOES!
A new study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine says that brisk WALKING—at a pace of four or more kilometers (equivalent to nearly 2.5 miles) in an hour—can reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.
In fact, the study found that with every one km increase in the speed of walking, researchers found a 9% REDUCTION in diabetes risk.
Now, we’ve long known that getting quality exercise and movement can significantly reduce your risk of diabetes (and other disease). But this is the first study that equates actual “speed” to reduced risk factors.
The bottom line?
The MORE your move… the LESSER your risk of type 2 diabetes (and the risk factors associated with the disease).
If you’re already engaged in a walking routine, keep it going! If you want to take things to the next level, consider wearing a pedometer or exercise tracking device that can calculate your steps and overall pace (remember, the faster you can walk, the better).
If you don’t currently have a consistent exercise routine, ease your way into a walking program and be sure to talk with your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
