Eggs are one of the most misunderstood foods out there… especially when it comes to your CHOLESTEROL.

For decades, the mainstream has vilified eggs as a food that will make your cholesterol skyrocket

And that’s DESPITE countless studies debunking egg’s negative health impacts!

But finally—55 years since eggs were deemed “bad”—the truth about eggs and your cholesterol is finally taking hold…

Back in 1968, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommended people eat no more than three eggs per week.

Their reasoning? It could raise cholesterol and increase heart disease risk.

Nearly 10 years later in1977, the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs recommended “Dietary Goals for the American People,” and they doubled down on the idea that people should eat fewer eggs because of the cholesterol they contain.

Since then, it’s been a never ending back-and-forth battle of whether or not eggs are good for your health.

But today—55 years later—a report published by StudyFinds pulls research that shows it’s okay, and even GOOD, to eat a modest amount of eggs.

It’s welcome news. But, we’ve been well ahead of the curve when it comes to the health benefits of eggs—particularly when it comes to your cholesterol.

For instance, this past July we reported a study that found eggs actually help increase your levels of HDL cholesterol—the “good” variety.

The study found that the egg-eaters had higher levels of the healthy metabolites linked to lower cardiovascular risk. This, in turn, led to HIGHER levels of HDL cholesterol

It also found that the egg consumers had higher levels of the best form of HDL—the large molecules. These act as sweepers for blood vessels, pushing through and dragging out all the junk that doesn’t belong.

As for the folks who stayed away from eggs?

They had LOWER levels of the good stuff and HIGHER levels of the more dangerous metabolites, which is linked to serious cardiovascular risk.

So, eating MORE eggs can lead to be better heart health… while eating FEWER eggs can increase your risk of heart issues.

So, go ahead and eat your eggs!
