“Refreshing” drink turns DEADLY?
It tastes OH-SO-GOOD when it hits your lips…
And it’s so REFRESHING on a hot day…
But, there’s some scary research on how one of the most popular, “refreshing” drinks out there can increase your risk of an EARLY DEATH.
Here’s why you might think twice before reaching for it again… and the healthy alternatives.
Drinking more than one glass of SODA each day can increase your overall chances of PREMATURE DEATH, according to an international study.
The study found that folks who drank TWO OR MORE glasses of sugar-laden soda each day were more likely to die from various causes than those who stuck to drinking one glass of soda.
Those who drank two or more glasses every day were more likely to die from digestive diseases that affect the liver, pancreas, intestines and appendix.
And get this… this also includes diet sodas that the mainstream says are “healthy.”
In fact, those who consumed the same amount of artificially sweetened “diet” drinks every day were MORE likely to die from diseases of the blood vessels!
If you’re tempted to dump all your soda down the sink after seeing this, I don’t blame you!
Let’s not forget that soda (even the diet variety) is linked to increased risk of CANCER… and can destroy the good bacteria in your gut.
If you’re looking for a healthier (and refreshing) alternative to soda, my go-to summer drink is sparkling water with a wedge of fresh fruit.
Sparkling water has all the “fizz” of soda, but with none of the sugar or artificial chemicals. And adding a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime gives it the right amount of sweetness.
