Guilt-free diet soda is GUILTY of this FATAL disease
The calendar reads August. And that means the temperatures are rising.
What could be more refreshing than a cool drink on a hot day?
For many folks it’s cracking open a cold can of SODA.
But it’s not the high-calorie, sugar-laden variety. It’s those guilt-free “diet soft drinks.
Nothing wrong with them, right?
Well, friend, turns out there’s plenty wrong with it – because recent research reveals what could be the BIGGEST problem with diet soda yet.
A key ingredient in many of those soft drinks… the one that puts the “diet right into the name… can lead directly to this FATAL disease.
Diet soda is supposed to be the guilt-free way of getting your soda fix.
You get that refreshing bubbly carbonation… and many varieties taste just like the real thing… minus the sugar and calories.
But diet sodas aren’t always what they seem. Especially when they put you on the fast track to cancer.
You read that right.
Soft drinks with aspartame – the world’s most common artificial sweetener in sodas – and acesulfame-K will increase your risk of:
- Any form of cancer by 13 percent
- Breast cancer by 22 percent
- “Obesity-related cancers, such as cancers of the stomach, liver, colon and rectum by up to 15 percent
This might come as a shock to anyone who’s bought into the junk industry’s relentless marketing of diet soft drinks.
They make it seem like these sweeteners are a harmless bit of nothing.
But they’re not.
It’s increasingly clear these poorly tested chemicals have multiple damaging effects inside the human body, including damage to the metabolism, cellular damage, DNA damage and more.
And none are worse than aspartame, one of the most dangerous additives ever approved for human consumption.
It’s been repeatedly linked to everything from migraines to cancer!
For all of that danger, diet sodas don’t even do what you think they will. They don’t help with weight loss, and might not even help you avoid diabetes. Just the opposite, as some studies show diet sodas can make you more likely to GAIN weight, and may even INCREASE the risk of diabetes.
If you need something more than just a cup of cold water on a hot day, skip the soda and try unsweetened iced tea instead.
If you’re a longtime soda drinker, the taste will be jarring at first… but stick with it and as your taste buds readjust, you’ll almost certainly not only get used to it, but enjoy it.
And unlike soda, tea can actually PREVENT cancer instead of causing it.
