If there’s anything in the typical American diet the epitomizes the phrase “LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING”

DIET SODA has gotta be at – or near – the top of the list!

Oh, the whole LOW CALORIE “healthy” cape that diet soda wears is a worse disguise than the wizard from The Wizard of Oz!

Science has already told us that diet beverages laced with artificial sweeteners increase your risk stroke, dementia, type 2 diabetes, and obesity

But the mainstream is STILL convinced that these drinks are perfectly fine… and you have no reason NOT to stock your fridge with them.

Folks, I’m here to tell you that research has proven that diet soda (and artificial sweeteners) is TERRIBLE for you once AGAIN!

A study out of the United Kingdom found that some of the most common artificial sweeteners out there can cause perfectly healthy gut bacteria to become diseased. And they even can invade your GUT WALL – leading to more serious health issues.

To make matter worse, the study found that saccharin, sucralose, and aspartame are three of the biggest culprits… and just happen to be some of the most popular artificial sweeteners on the market (even in diet soda)!

Now you may be telling yourself…

There’s no way I drink THAT much diet soda that it’s bad for me!

Well, researchers found that just TWO CANS of diet soda is enough to be detrimental for your gut!

If you ever needed a reason to finally ditch the diet soda, there it is!

But there is good news. Even if you LOVE diet soda, you can kick this unhealthy vice to the curb… WITHOUT sacrificing taste.

One of my favorite ‘sweet’ drinks is sparkling water with fruit. This is a perfect drink to make you feel like you’re drinking soda without the unhealthy chemicals or sugar.

My go-to is sparking water with fresh-squeezed lemon and lime. Trust me, your taste buds (and your gut) will love it!
