Friend, we’re all armed with God-given defenses that help keep illness at bay.

But in today’s modern world, there are so many factors that can CHIP AWAY at that protection

From nutritional deficiencies… to environmental pollutants… and more.

And the older we get… the more we’ve got to pay attention to every chink in the armor.

You KNOW you’ve got to support your immune function

But that DOESN’T mean locking yourself up and throwing away the key.

NO ONE should have to live in a bubble in order to stay healthy.

Fortunately, there’s a myriad of ways to promote strong immunity!

Today, I’ve got something a little different for you — a fruit that the ancient medicinal practice of Ayurveda refers to as the “remover of all diseases.”

Holy berry

Ancient Hindu manuscripts tell a story of how we got the tree that bears amla fruit (Emblica officinalis).

According to folklore, a fight occurred between gods and demons…

And during the scuffle… as good triumphed over evil… drops of an “immortality nectar” were accidentally spilled onto the earth.

Better known as the Indian gooseberry, amla is still considered “supremely holy” to those of the Hindu faith.

Hindus dedicate an entire holy day to amla – known as Amalaka Ekadashi, one of the main celebrations of Holi, the festival of colors.

You’ve read before right here in eAlert how alma could help turn back the clock on visible signs of aging

And its vitamin C and antioxidant content also make it a powerful ally for your immune system.

Research shows how amla can BEAT BACK free radicals

Which are the MAJOR source of oxidative stress and can COMPROMISE your immunity.

Studies have even shown how amla can REVERSE the effects of toxins… which can SUPPRESS your immune system!

And this “holy fruit” could even help SHIELD against DNA damage.

Even better, amla has demonstrated antibacterial qualities… including against certain common “bugs” that could infect the urinary tract. In India, amla is even recommended as a “home remedy” for UTIs!

You may be able to find Indian gooseberries fresh or frozen at specialty Indian stores.

In Ayurveda, it’s also used as a jam in an immune-boosting food called Chyawanprash… and included in the cancer-fighting “three fruit powder,” Triphala churna.

You can also find amla in supplement form at your local health food stores or online, where it might also be labeled as “Amalaki” or its scientific synonym, Phyllanthus emblica.

Look for one with a standardized content of tannins, which may account for amla’s antimicrobial properties.
