[Breaking News] African dye plant OBLITERATES Lyme in a lab
Warm weather is coming… and for some of us, it’s already here.
And you know what that means…
It’s tick season!
You don’t have to travel far to be in the crosshairs of a tick bite – or the sickness that can result.
In fact, you could be on your own property… especially in tall grass or any wooded area… and become one of these insects’ latest target.
And if you’re like 300,000 other Americans this year, you could find yourself SADDLED with Lyme disease.
Your doc will prescribe antibiotics – and sure, they might help. At first, anyway.
But they could leave TRACES of the Lyme bacteria behind!
And antibiotics have shown to FAIL as much as 25% of Lyme patients, who STILL experience debilitating symptoms after treatment.
We desperately need something that can ERASE Lyme disease from the folks it infects…
And now it looks as though researchers may have found something that could fit the bill.
Filling in the antibiotic gap
You may have heard of Lyme disease… or even know someone who’s had it… but how much do you actually know about it?
Sure, it comes from a variety of ticks (including deer ticks)…
But YOU get infected when a tick bites you because it transmits a bacterium known as Borrelia burgdorferi.
OBVIOUSLY you want to do what you can to KEEP ticks from latching onto you… like wearing long pants and sleeves… and using insect repellant…
But those little buggers are sneaky! And sometimes, they hitch a ride UNDETECTED.
That’s when you’ve got to find something that can KILL the Lyme-causing bacteria.
And the latest science shows that an herb might actually be what can do the trick.
It’s called Cryptolepis sanguinolenta – and in a recent study out of Johns Hopkins right here in Baltimore, just a small amount of this herb COMPLETELY ERADICATED B. burgdorferi in a lab dish.
And all it took was 7 days.
That included both the “active” bacterial cells AND the “inactive” ones.
Just like the ticks that carry these germs, B. burgdorferi are tricky…
MOST antibiotics and other herbs can only kill the active forms… while the dormant ones lie in wait, until they can WAKE UP and INFECT you again!
That’s why cryptolepis… also known as “African yellow dye root”… OUTPERFORMED two different antibiotics in the in vitro study I just mentioned.
And it came out on top of all 12 herbs the researchers tested against the bacteria that causes Lyme.
Imagine being able to CLEAR your body of this MENACING infection in just days… or even weeks or months… while others struggle with it for YEARS!
This herb shows promise in being able to CHASE Lyme bacteria out of hiding… and make sure it’s gone… FOR GOOD!
The key may be in its content of the alkaloid cryptolepine, which is also used to treat malaria.
But more research needs to be done on humans to know for sure – and also to determine how safe it is for us to take.
Cryptolepis extract is currently available in liquid (a.k.a. tincture) form, which you can add to hot water and drink as a tea.
But check first with an integrative doc to make sure it won’t interact with any drugs or other supplements you may be taking.
And stay tuned right here to eAlert for updates on how this story develops…
