Water: Another, LIFESAVING Benefit (Study)
H20… agua… elixir of life…
Whatever you call it, it’s no secret that drinking WATER is the single BEST drink you can put in your body!
Drinking water daily not only keeps you hydrated, but it also helps your skin stay healthy, your joints lubricated, and flushes out toxins from your body.
Of course, we live in America – where more people seem to make it a priority to guzzle sugar-laden SODA than water.
(But that’s a topic for another day.)
In the meantime, if you need another reason to drink plenty of water – THIS IS IT!
That’s because new research has just unlocked a new, lifesaving benefit to drinking water… and it could add YEARS to your life.
According to a study released by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, drinking 8 glasses of water a day can help keep your heart from FAILING down the road.
You’ve probably heard countless times that drinking 8 glasses is a solid ‘benchmark’ for daily water consumption… but how does it help maintain heart health?
Well, it turns out that proper function of your heart is very dependent on how hydrated you are.
The study found that the less hydrated you are, it contributes to thickening of the walls along your heart’s left ventricle — the heart’s main pumping chamber. And over time, the thicker that ventricle wall gets, the more at risk you are for heart failure later in life.
If you’re already drinking those 8 glasses of water a day, keep it going!
But, if you find yourself not drinking as much water as you should, it’s not too late to start.
One of the easiest ways to hit that 8-glass benchmark, is to stagger your water consumption throughout your day.
For instance, you could drink two, eight-ounce glasses of water with all your meals… two at breakfast, two at lunch, two at dinner, and a glass with each snack in between. The next thing you know, you’ve gotten your eight glasses in!
It’s also important to try and drink the cleanest water possible. It’s a good practice to use a high-quality, budget friendly water filtration system like Zero Water, which can be found at major retailers like Target or Amazon.
To the power of water,
