Some Americans breathed a sigh of relief this week as the first frontline workers received their COVID-19 vaccine shots.
We’ve been told for so long that the vaccine is the ONLY thing that will help turn this pandemic around…
So it’s no surprise that some folks are eager to roll up their sleeves… in hopes that it’ll help them get back to normal…
And back to doing the things they love again.
Now, you may be wondering whether you should line up for the shot… or take more of a “wait and see” approach.
Only you and your doc know what’s best for you.
But whichever you choose… you should know that SCAMMERS have got you in their crosshairs!
Here’s the latest development – one that’s thrown a monkey wrench into the plan to vaccinate millions of Americans without a hitch.
The dark side of the new vaccine rollout
Every cloud may have its silver lining…
But sometimes it seems like every ray of sun also casts a shadow!
For many, the COVID-19 vaccine is an answer to their prayers.
For others, it’s an opportunity – to SCAM you out of money!
The FDA has issued a warning about possible fraudulent products claiming to be able to VACCINATE you against the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
And the risk for fraud is SO serious, the feds are DOUBLING DOWN…
With an FTC issuing tips on how consumers can avoid COVID-19 vaccine scams.
I’m talking about urging you to PAY for a vaccine dose… or PAY to “jump the line” to get the vaccine sooner!
Right now, you can’t BRIBE your way to the front of the line for the vaccine… and NO ONE should have to pay out of pocket to get vaccinated during this current health crisis.
But that may not stop some “bad actors” from CALLING you… EMAILING you… TEXTING you… or even KNOCKING on your door with an offer that you can’t refuse.
Trust me, you CAN refuse these offers and more!
Because all these fraudsters want is your bank account information… PIN… credit card number… or personal information (like your Social Security number)…
And they’ll DO and SAY anything to get it.
They may even PRETEND to be from your health insurance company… from the CDC… or from the WHO!
They’re simply PREYING on your fears.
Don’t fall for their tricks.
Beware of red flags like an email message from someone you don’t know… and “robocalls.”
They CAN’T provide the kind of access they’re promising. Right now, it’s up to your state government to determine WHO gets the vaccine… and WHEN.
And any vaccine offered outside of official distribution channels is most likely to be a FAKE.
