Sea salt trick helps you BASK in the sun without worry
Once you reach a certain age, you finally learn how CRUCIAL it is to gear up with sun protection.
I’m talking about that gardening hat… those driving gloves… and of course a cool pair of sunglasses.
But even with the BEST preparation… sun exposure can take its toll…
Especially if you get a little “lax” on overcast days… or during the cold winter months!
UV damage could ROB you of your youthful vision… make you AGE FASTER… and even contribute to the development of cancer.
But you don’t have to HIDE indoors… or COWER in fear.
You can… and SHOULD… step out into the sunshine!
Just make sure you’ve got the “secret weapon” I’m about to share with you.
The saline solution to sun damage?
Dunaliella salina is a tiny type of algae (or “microalgae”) that… true to its scientific name, which means “salty”… absolutely LOVES saltwater.
It was first discovered growing in the hot, sun-exposed sea salt fields (or salt evaporation “ponds”) of France in the 1830s…
But today, it’s found all around the globe.
Although these salt-loving microorganisms are considered “green” microalgae… they usually appear to be a bright reddish-orange color.
That’s what happens when they’re under stress – specifically, exposed to extreme heat and sunlight.
The color offers photoprotection… and it comes from a mix of different carotenoids, including beta-carotene.
Now, you may already know how beta-carotene is like nature’s sunscreen…
But the specific type of carotenoid found in D. salina has even STRONGER antioxidant activity.
This TURBO-CHARGED form of beta-carotene is called 9-cis beta-carotene.
And while it helps algae like D. salina RESIST intense ultraviolet radiation exposure…
And it could do the same for you.
In an animal study out of Taiwan, consuming D. salina was associated with LESS eye damage induced by UVB rays.
And it appeared to work by BEATING BACK oxidative stress to the cornea… and STIMULATING antioxidant enzyme activity within the eyes.
But that’s just the TIP of the iceberg.
Because what D. salina can do in terms of protecting your eyes from photodamage also extends to your skin…
As it can help keep the visible signs of aging at bay.
In addition to its antioxidant activity… that is, its ability to SCAVENGE free radicals… it also exhibits powerful anti-inflammatory action.
One of the ways it does that is by INHIBITING the enzyme known as hyaluronidase, which contributes to the depletion of a water-trapping polysaccharide called hyaluronic acid (HA).
Without HA, your skin can be dry… irritated… and even INFLAMED.
But WITH it, your skin can stay hydrated… supple… and even YOUNG.
But even THAT’S not all.
Your skin could get IRON-CLAD protection from D. salina that’s so strong…
It could beat back skin cancer.
I’m talking about sarcoma… basal cell carcinoma… and even the potentially deadly form of skin cancer known as melanoma.
That appears to be because of the way that D. salina TRIGGERS the activity of enzymes that help repair DNA, like photolyase.
But some studies show that D. salina and its carotenoids could also KILL cancer cells directly.
Look for D. salina as an ingredient in topical cosmetics, like creams and facial masks – ideally ones without a lot of harsh chemicals or unnatural ingredients.
You can also find D. salina as a supplement… in powdered or capsule form… at your local health food store or online.
It may also be an ingredient in a carotene or carotenoid complex formula.
So far, research has shown its consumption to be associated with ZERO risk.

P.S. There’s ANOTHER type of carotenoid-rich algae that could SHIELD your skin from sun damage. The only difference? It THRIVES in the cold!
