Doctors LOVE to tell you the moment your blood pressure is “above” normal that you’re a SITTING DUCK for countless ailments and diseases.

Yes, of course dangerously high blood pressure levels are nothing to scoff at. But heck, just sitting in traffic can make your blood pressure “high.”

Why do they love it? Because they want to get you hooked on their DRUGS.

But today I’ve got a “funny” secret to lowering your blood pressure—both naturally and in just a few short hours!

If you’re a fan of the famed TV comedy “The Office”, then you know that BEETS are the preferred veggie of the show’s character Dwight.

But TV comedy aside, beets are a fantastic veggie with plenty of bang for your buck in the blood pressure control department.

Beets contain nitrates, which your body converts into something called nitric oxide.

Nitric oxide is known as a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes the inner muscles of your blood vessels, causing the vessels to widen, which increases overall blood flow—thus lowering blood pressure.

In a study published in The Journal of Nutrition, researchers found that just one glass of beetroot juice a day is enough to significantly reduce blood pressure in people with high blood pressure.

And get this…

It even works for folks whose high blood pressure was NOT controlled by drug treatment!

In other words, beets aren’t just a supplemental treatment to high blood pressure… they are a stand-alone remedy!

And here’s more good news…

The nitrates in beets don’t just help lower your blood pressure… they do it QUICKLY.

Studies show that beetroots (or their juice) can reduce blood pressure up to 3–10 mm Hg over a period of just a FEW HOURS!

Beets are also easy to find. You can find them at your local grocery store, or at your local famer’s market (which is a great option to find beets ‘straight from the source’).

If you bring home beets, they usually have a shelf life of about two to three weeks if stored properly. Just be sure to give the leaves and roots a thorough washing and either air dry or wipe clean with a paper towel before eating or putting in your refrigerator.

If you’re still not keen on eating your beets, that’s okay.

Beetroot powder is a great ‘substitute’ for raw beets… and it still contains the same nutritional profile (and has a longer shelf life).
