If there are two polar OPPOSITE part of your body (at least in terms of what you want people to see) it’s gotta be your waistline and your hairline.

You want your waistline to RECEDE… but you definitely DON’T wait to see your hairline do the same!

Well, now research says that what you have around your belt COULD be closely related to hair loss.

Check this out.

A study recently published in Nature says that obesity, caused by reckless diets, can contribute to unwanted hair loss.

It’s no secret that obesity can lead to a number of health complications like heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer.

But BALDNESS? It’s true.

The study found that obesity caused by diets high in bad fats can contribute to the depletion of hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs).

HFSCs renew themselves during every hair follicle cycle—which is how your hair continues to grow back and lengthen over time.

As you age, these cells can falter and often don’t replenish themselves as well as they used to—which can lead to age-related baldness and hair loss.

But it turns out that obesity introduces certain inflammatory signals to your body that BLOCK hair follicle regeneration (even in healthy hair)… which can eventually lead to the loss of the follicles that allow your hair to regrow.

Now, to be clear… if you’re already bald, switching diets and dropping pounds isn’t going to magically make your hair grow back.

But, if you are starting lose your hair, making healthy dietary changes could help slow the hair loss process and keep your follicles healthy.

Consider an intermittent fasting regimen. This is where you eat all your meals within a 6-to-8-hour window each day.

During that 6-to-8 hour ‘eating’ window, you can eat quality, nutrient-rich meals that will keep you feeling satisfied and prevent you from eating too many calories.

In fact, studies have found that intermittent fasting can reduce overall waist size by nearly 7%—which reduces your risk of obesity.

It’s worth a shot to keep your hair long and healthy!
