A MAN MADE Parkinson’s trigger in your HOME?
Many folks believe a Parkinson’s diagnosis is caused by ‘unlucky’ genetics… or even unhealthy lifestyle habits.
There’s some truth to that… but that’s only part of the picture…
Because Parkinson’s can be caused by factors that are 100% MAN-MADE!
And these include things that you have been exposed to in your OWN HOME!
Check out the latest study on one you need to be mindful of…
A new research study out of the University of Rochester found that exposure to trichloroethylene (TCE) – a chemical compound used in industrial degreasing, dry-cleaning, and even household products like shoe polishes and carpet cleaners – could be a contributing cause of Parkinson’s.
TCE is a technically a carcinogen that has been linked to a number of health issues and diseases, like…
Cancers of the cervix, liver, biliary passages, lymphatic system, male breast tissue, and even fetal cardiac defects.
In most cases, people sicken quickly when exposed to TCE. But when it comes to Parkinson’s, the symptoms usually aren’t visible for years… sometimes decades.
In other words, even if folks dodge other health issues associated with TCE, the carcinogen can live ‘dormant’ and lead to the neurological complications that come with Parkinson’s.
It should be noted that the research linking TCE and Parkinson’s points to very prolonged exposure to TCE (like working in a factory that produces the product).
Nevertheless, a number of household products DO contain TCE.
If you are worried about TCE exposure, there are simple steps to eliminate it from your house.
The best thing you can do is take a look at the labels of any polishes, degreasers, and carpet cleaners in your house. If trichloroethylene is listed on the label, it’s time to get rid of it!
But don’t just toss it in the trash. Contact your local public works department to find out where to safely dispose of it. Most trash collection sites have special areas where you can drop off products with chemicals.
And when it comes to Parkinson’s? While there’s no ‘cure’ for the disease, staying active is one of the best ways to keep the symptoms at bay. Even taking daily walks are a great way to stay active without overdoing it.
