A urinary tract infection (UTI) is no laughing matter. Not only are they annoying, they can be painful and relentless.

And whether it hurts when you pee… or you’re “going” all too often… UTIs can leave you feeling downright MISERABLE.

To make matter worse, they tend to disproportionately target seniors!

Believe it or not, UTIs are the most common type of bacterial infection in older adults – affecting at least 10% of men and 20% of women over 65!

When left untreated, UTIs can cause serious problems… including permanent kidney damage and even sepsis – a potentially life-threatening infection.

There are plenty of ‘quick fixes’ for UTIs. Your doctor’s favorite is probably a round of antibiotics

But more often than not this doesn’t stop the infection from coming back!

So, if you’re prone to UTIs, I’ve got something for you to consider before jumping onto another pill merry-go-round.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner… and the good ol’ cranberry is going to likely be at your dinner table.

It’s no secret that cranberry is synonymous with remedying UTIs. The problem is, most people flock to sugar-laden cranberry juice – which isn’t that good for you.

The majority of cranberry drinks are blends of cranberry with other juices and/or sweeteners to make it palatable.

What you’ll want is cranberry extract when it comes to getting rid of UTIs.

It’s loaded with compounds such as proanthocyanins – flavanols and hydroxycinnamic acids, which can break up the biofilm in the urinary tract where the bacteria behind infections like to grow.

Cranberry extract can also reduce inflammation, making it harder for those germs to settle in and cause an infection.

In fact, studies have found cranberry extract works about as well as or even BETTER than antibiotic drugs for UTI prevention, but without the side effects (like rash, dizziness, and yeast infections).

Look for cranberry extract in both juice, powder, and capsule form. Stick to the recommended dosage on the product label (especially if you go the route of juice).
