Ever notice how getting older is just EXHAUSTING?

I’m not just talking about a lack of sleep (although there’s that).

You could STILL be getting your 8 hours a night… and be DRAGGING your feet during the day.

That’s because our energy levels rely on little power plants that exist in every single cell in our bodies.

But in aging bodies, those power plants aren’t running full steam ahead… and don’t produce as much energy as they did when they were younger.

You FEEL like you’re in a slump… parts of your body start to SAG

And it’s all because what’s supposed to be POWERING you is actually tapered off to a mere SPUTTER!

Fortunately, there’s an “energy shot” that could REV things up again

And I’m not talking about an extra cup of coffee in the morning.

It’s a substance that could ENHANCE energy production… and help keep aging from setting in too soon.

You may have already heard of it – but here’s something it can do that might be new to you.

A skin energizer?

You’ve read before right here in eAlert how coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) helps support heart health.

In fact, it’s one of the heart-healthiest nutrients out there!

But keeping your heart young isn’t all that CoQ10 can do.

It could also help you LOOK younger, too!

In fact, part of our natural supply of CoQ10 is found in our skin

Where it acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

That helps BEAT BACK oxidative damage from environmental factors… including sun damage from UV rays.

That includes damage on a genetic level – a.k.a. to our DNA — which could be INVISIBLE.

But our skin cells (called keratinocytes) actually use CoQ10 to REPAIR damage that you can see, too!

Unfortunately, seniors too often find their supply DEPLETED – especially if they’ve been taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs.

Fortunately, you can supplement with CoQ10 to REPLENISH your supply.

And in the case of aging skin, you can use it topically!

It doesn’t just sit on top of the surface of your skin, either. It actually penetrates into the DEEP epidermal layers.

In one study, applying CoQ10 cream to photodamaged skin around the eye reduced wrinkle depth by 27%.

That study found that CoQ10 also works to SUPPRESS the expression of an enzyme that degrades your skin’s supply of collagen, called collagenase.

There’s something else…

Another study found that adding CoQ10 to skin cells helps RAMP UP mitochondrial function… which is ESSENTIAL for skin repair and maintenance!

This is CRUCIAL – because as we age, our mitochondria (or the “powerhouses” of the cells) start to fall down on the job.

They produce LESS energy

And mitochondrial dysfunction sets off a vicious cycle of events that could lead to an excess buildup of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which cause oxidative stress.

But research shows that CoQ10 could RESTORE mitochondrial energy production… including in aging skin!

CoQ10 is also known by the name “ubiquinone” – but you may want to look for a DIFFERENT version of it when shopping for anti-aging skin creams.

Because there are actually 2 different forms of CoQ10…

The ACTIVE form your body can use… and the INACTIVE form, which forces your body to take the extra step of converting it into a version it can absorb.

The ACTIVE version of CoQ10 is known as ubiquinol. It’s got the addition of two hydrogen atoms, so scientists call it CoQ10H2.

This “advanced” form of CoQ10 has been on shelves since 2007…

But most folks have NEVER heard of it.

Since CoQ10 is something that’s naturally found in all of our bodies, it’s a safe alternative to harsh chemicals or invasive treatments.

But anytime you’re considering adding something new to your routine… especially if you have any preexisting skin conditions… be sure to check with your doc first.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
