Your doc does his annual work-up… looks at your labs… and gives you a call.

Uh oh, this can’t be good, you think.

And after a battery of more tests… you get the SHOCKING news.

Your doc tells you that you’ve got type 2 diabetes.

It might SEEM like this diagnosis comes out of NOWHERE.

You’ve been doing EVERYTHING your doc tells you to stay in good health.

You HAVEN’T had your hand in the candy dish

And you SAVE desserts for special occasions…

So how could your blood glucose be SKYROCKETING?

Friend, DON’T blame yourself. It might not be your fault… AT ALL.

There’s a HIDDEN culprit behind sugar spikes that you need to know about.

And it’s one of the SICKEST secrets of mainstream medicine.

An Rx for blood sugar woes

If you’ve NEVER had blood sugar issues in the past… and you suddenly find yourself SADDLED with a diabetes diagnosis

Something is VERY wrong.

And it’s very possible that your body’s glucose tolerance didn’t just SHIFT overnight on its own.

There’s something that could’ve TRIGGERED this turn of the tide.

I know you TRUST your doctor… and you can’t imagine that he’d even want to HURT you.

But he may not even KNOW that a medication he’s prescribed for you to take could actually GIVE you diabetes!

That’s right – you could have “drug-induced diabetes.”

Some of the drug classes that could INDUCE the development of diabetes include:

  • statins for lowering cholesterol
  • blood pressure meds, including thiazide diuretics and beta-blockers (particularly when the 2 types of drugs are combined)
  • corticosteroids (but not topical creams) for inflammatory conditions, and
  • antipsychotics, often prescribed to hospitalized patients and those with dementia.

Beta-blockers and statins specifically have been associated with REDUCED insulin sensitivity

And statins… steroid drugs… and antipsychotics could even SABOTAGE your insulin secretion.

And according to the Diabetes Prevention Program Outcomes Study, statins could also JACK UP your risk of developing diabetes by 30%!

A brand-new study out of University of Texas also shows statin use to be associated with a greater chance of greater progression of diabetes among folks already diagnosed with the disease.

That means if you’re a diabetic that takes statins… you could find yourself with WORSENING blood sugar spikes… and MORE diabetic complications

As well as a GREATER need for insulin treatment and ADDITIONAL blood sugar-lowering drugs!

The good news is that STOPPING the diabetes-causing med could actually REVERSE the disease.

At the very least, you may not need to be on such a HIGH dose… or for such an EXTENDED period of time.

And reducing ONE or BOTH of those factors could also help turn things around.

For example, research has found that the MORE POTENT a cholesterol-lowering drug is… the more it could RAISE your blood sugar!

So one option would be to switch to a LESS potent statin.

Even BETTER… you may not need to be taking those drugs in the first place!

If your cholesterol is TRULY high… which it might NOT be… try red yeast rice, niacin… or hibiscus tea.

Here’s the crazy part…

Some drugs could contribute to elevated cholesterol levels, too!

Certain medications could also cause delirium… which is one of the TOP reasons why older Americans are prescribed antipsychotics. (NOT psychosis!)

Delirium could also be caused by a deficiency in thiamine… but REPLENISHING the supply could help RESTORE normalcy.

Talk to an integrative doc about other natural therapies that could help you REDUCE your medication loadWEAN OFF certain drugs… or even QUIT them entirely.

There are lots of drug alternatives for BANISHING inflammation and CONTROLLING blood pressure… in addition to some of my suggestions above.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
