When you’ve got type 2 diabetes… and excess sugar is on a RAMPAGE in your body…

You might not FEEL the damage as it’s happening.

But as oxidative stress levels rise along with spiking glucose levels

It can really COMPLICATE your disease!

And you can be sure you’ll feel the effects eventually.

For many folks, that could mean nerve pain… especially in the extremities, like in your feet.

Fortunately, there’s a natural way to HEAL the pain… and maybe even BEAT BACK its root cause

And it comes from a single, ancient flower that’s better known for its fragrance than for its medicinal powers.

Perfume… or medicine?
Lavender is commonly used in potpourri… sachets… aromatherapy oils… and even special pillows to help folks ease anxiety and sleep better.

In fact, you may already take advantage of this flower’s scent for its calming qualities.

But lavender ISN’T just a one-trick pony.

Because you can use it both externally AND internally to help with type 2 diabetes.

That’s right – lavender is actually a culinary herb, too!

It’s a member of the mint family… which means it’s closely related to many of the ingredients already in your spice rack…

Like sagerosemary… and thyme.

Many of the herbs in this family (including lavender) act as potent antioxidants… and have shown in vitro activity against diabetes.

But it’s lavender in particular that’s been used as a treatment for diabetes in Spain… for AGES!

And given its geographic proximity, it’s no surprise that this diabetes “folk cure” made its way to Morocco

As well as other North African countries like Tunisia (where it’s called “khezama”).

It’s even used in certain folk medicines of the Middle East!

Now, modern research hasn’t really caught up to the THOUSANDS of years of traditional use of lavender…

But some animal studies are already showing promise.

In a 2013 study out of Tunisia, diabetic rats that were injected with lavender essential oil over the course of 15 days showed INCREASED antioxidant activityREDUCED weight gain… and LOWER blood glucose levels, compared to the placebo group.

That’s not all…

Because lavender’s benefits to nerve health may also help beat back diabetic complications like neuropathy.

Studies support using it on its own… or in combination with other essential oils.

That’s a situation where you’ll want to use lavender oil topically (mixed with a carrier oil) instead of ingesting it…

As your skin can rapidly absorb some of its active compounds, like linalool and linalyl acetate, when you massage it in.

Now, there are 450 different varieties of lavender found around the world… but the most commonly used forms for their medicinal benefits are…

  • English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  • French lavender (Lavandula dentata), and
  • Spanish lavender (Lavandula stoechas).

One option is to drink lavender as a tea – adding a teaspoon or two of the fresh or dried flowers to a cup of boiling water.

Not all essential oils are safe to ingest… so make sure you choose one that’s labeled “food grade”… and check with your doc before trying anything new.

P.S. There’s another member of the mint family that could help you turn your diabetes around. It’s SO useful in SO many different ways, it’s earned the nickname “all-heal”! To find out what it is, just click right here.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
