If your doc says you’ve got hypertension… don’t be alarmed.

Your blood pressure numbers might NOT be through the roof.

They could be just a little high

Which means you may NOT need to SLAM them with a sledgehammer in order to bring them down.

Now, most conventional docs are OBSESSED with the numbers game… but I’d take those readings with a grain of salt (figuratively, anyway).

But if you want to help support your heart health… and make sure there are ZERO obstacles to healthy blood flow

There’s 1 simple thing you can add to your daily routine.

It’s one of the oldest condiments on the planet… but its health benefits are too often OVERLOOKED!

‘Magical’ seed

You’ve read right here in eAlert how sesame seeds (from the Sesamum indicum plant) can help kick arthritis to the curb.

They’re an ancient Hindu symbol of immortality… and a catchphrase for magicians.

Folks have been eating them for over 5,000 years now!

Sesame seeds can help promote healthy blood pressure numbers…

As shown in a 2011 study on participants with “prehypertension”… or BP numbers that were just a little bit high and moving in the wrong direction.

The group that consumed sesame seeds saw their systolic (or “top”) numbers drop by 8 points, on average.

And all it took was just 4 weeks.

Now, that’s pretty impressive – especially considering most folks only need to bring their top numbers down by 2 or 3 points in order to SLASH their cardiovascular risk!

The LOWERING of their blood pressure appeared to coincide with a REDUCED marker of oxidative stress, known as malondialdehyde (MDA).

Studies have shown how oxidative stress and hypertension can go hand-in-hand…

And MDA in particular has been implicated in changes to LDL cholesterol that can spike coronary artery disease risk.

That’s right – sesame seeds can BEAT BACK the narrowing and hardening of arteries!

And that’s one surefire way of helping your blood continue to flow EFFORTLESSLY

And to keep the pressure off.

What’s their secret?

Well, sesame seeds are PACKED with fatty acidsmagnesium… and vitamin E

All of which have been associated with healthy blood pressure numbers.

But there may be something else going on — because sesame seeds also contain an anti-inflammatory substance known as sesamin.

It’s a type of lignan that’s shown to benefit blood pressure as well.

Sesame lignans like sesamin appear to help RELAX blood vessels… and help keep them WIDE and FLEXIBLE.

They also seem to help promote the release of nitric oxide… which is a HERO for healthy blood flow.

You can find sesame seeds pressed into oil… mashed into pastes and “butters,” especially in the Middle East… and toasted as a condiment, especially in Asia.

In the study I mentioned earlier, participants consumed black sesame seed meal in capsule form. Black sesame seeds still contain the hull… which is where you’ll find the HIGHEST concentration of blood pressure-lowering lignans.

You can find black sesame seeds… known as “kala til” in India… at your local spice aisle or Asian specialty market.

Black sesame seed capsules are also available from quality makers like Swanson.

Or, you can supplement directly with sesame lignans.

Now, sesame seeds contain high amounts of omega-6 fatty acids – so you’ll want to balance those out with a proportionate amount of omega-3s.

And while they’re incredibly nutritious… they’re also high in calories. So don’t go overboard.

Here’s another reason to proceed carefully

While sesame seed products could help you lower the dosage of blood-pressure-lowering drugs you need to take… combining the two could make your BP dip too low.

Check with your doc before making any changes to your Rx routine… including adding any supplements into the mix.

To normalizing BP with more than magic,
Sarah Reagan

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
