If you lived through the 1960s, you’re more than familiar with drugs that could BEND your mind.

But today, we’re not talking about psychedelic party drugs.

Some of Big Pharma’s meds are prescribed to HELP your body… but they end up HURTING your brain!

I’ve shared with you before how acetaminophen has been linked to a lack of empathy… and some Parkinson’s drugs with impulse control issues

But there’s ANOTHER class of drugs that can have mind-altering side effects — ones you WON’T see listed on ANY warning label.

I’m talking about the cholesterol-lowering drugs known as statins.

The mainstream CLAIMS that they save lives

But their UNINTENDED effects… like changes in mood and behavior… can be DEVASTATING.

And if it happens to you, you might not even be AWARE of it… but the changes could be SO severe, those around you will SURELY notice.

It could even RUIN your marriage.

Here’s what you need to know about the risks… and how to identify UNWANTED changes in yourself or someone you love.

A mind-bending drug in disguise

As of 2018, over 35 million Americans  were taking statins – and yet mainstream experts keep claiming that MOR people need to be taking them.

Is that why they seem to be IGNORING the fact that in some folks who take them, these cholesterol-lowering drugs appear to change WHO THEY ARE?

We’re talking about a classic case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!

They’re perfectly “normal” before starting up on statins…

But afterwards, they’re irritable and short-tempered… or aggressive and confrontational

And those changes can be SEVERE.

Folks taking statins could even become more prone to VIOLENT thoughts and actions… including suicide!

In a 2015 study on post-menopausal women, taking statin drugs was shown to INCREASE both verbal and physical aggression.

How do we know these changes are most likely caused by the drug?

Because they’re REVERSED when folks stop taking the drug.

And when they start back up on the drug… the side effects COME BACK.

The theory is that chronic cholesterol depletion can DRAIN your levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin – a.k.a. the “happy hormone.”

This brain chemical is known for helping REGULATE both mood and behavior

Which may explain why folks with lower cholesterol levels are more likely to feel depressed or anxious.

But the answer, my friend, is NOT to take ANOTHER drug to boost your serotonin levels… like one of those mood meds known as SSRIs.

It’s to stop NEEDLESSLY… RECKLESSLY… and ARTIFICIALLY lowering your cholesterol with drugs!

Just last year, a not-so-shocking report out of the UK claimed that statins DON’T help HALF of those who take them.

We don’t know how many people these drugs are HURTING…

But do you want to leave your chances to the flip of a coin?

Most cholesterol levels aren’t truly high enough to be dangerous. The biggest source of worry is when your LDL (or “bad”) cholesterol becomes damaged – a.k.a. “oxidized.”

Don’t let your doc stop at running your cholesterol numbers. He can also test for LDL oxidation.

Of course, NEVER stop any prescription drug without consulting with your doc first.

But there are other ways to BALANCE and MAINTAIN healthy cholesterol levels… without the risk of TRANSFORMING into a monster.

To staying UNSCATHED by statins,

Melissa Young

P.S. Good news — there’s a little-known compound found in a Mediterranean fruit that can help keep your LDL from becoming oxidized!

I shared it with you just last week right here in eAlert… but in case you missed it, you can click right here.
