Once you find out you’ve got type 2 diabetes, you might be focused on just SURVIVING it.

Too often, it can be a KILLER disease.

But the truth is, blood sugar woes DON’T have to take you down.

In fact, you can not only live THROUGH diabetes… but actually live WELL while managing it.

You just might need a little help in REGULATING your glucose and insulin levels.

And I’ve got just the thing.

Its American tradition dates back to our nation’s own independence…

But for a COMPLETELY different purpose!

Here’s how a household trick actually holds a secret to PERFECT blood sugar control.

A ‘founding father’ discovery for type 2?

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is an ancient grain with a nutty flavor that can continue to grow in the hot, dry conditions of drought that would make other crops wither up and DIE.

It’s native to Africa’s Nile River Valley, with archaeological evidence of it dating back THOUSANDS of years.

Benjamin Franklin is credited with bringing sorghum to our attention in this country in the 18th century… but as a material for making brooms!

In some circles, sorghum is STILL referred to as “broom corn.”

Maybe that’s why MOST of us have still NEVER heard of its health benefits.

Folks with celiac disease have discovered sorghum as a wheat alternative, as it’s gluten-free

But also because it’s a highly nutritious, rich source of fiberproteinmagnesiumtannins… and more.

All of those components can benefit diabetes management

And as a 2016 in vivo trial showed, consuming sorghum can LOWER blood sugar levels after eating a meal (a.k.a. postprandial glucose).

It can also help maintain healthy insulin levels!

Animal studies reveal that this grain appears to work, in part, by INHIBITING how much starch your body absorbs from the food you eat.

But that’s not all…

Because it also targets the metabolic process that determines how much sugar is produced by the liver

Sorghum has also shown to ZERO IN on an insulin-sensitizing gene receptor called PPAR-gamma.

And as I’m sure you know, one of the hallmarks of type 2 diabetes that’s not under control is a LOST sensitivity to insulin… or even a full-blown RESISTANCE to this glucose-regulating hormone!

Even better, according to a 2018 animal study, a sorghum-enriched diet can BEAT BACK the damaging effects of hyperglycemia… including REDUCING markers of oxidative stress.

Look for whole-grain sorghum in the grain aisle or at your local health food store. One study I mentioned above was able to produce STUNNING results… just by giving study subjects sorghum muffins!

There’s also a special form of this grain that was developed by Texas A&M University, called Onyx sorghum. You can find it as an ingredient in certain cereal products.

If you’re interested in supplementing with sorghum, look for it as an ingredient in blood sugar support formulas at your local health food store or online.

To living well with diabetes,

Melissa Young

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
