Even the TOUGHEST cancer cells don’t stand a FIGHTING CHANCE against this African ‘wood trick’
What happens when we don’t have a drug to treat a disease… or when the drugs we have no longer WORK?
This is just one of the cracks in our conventional medical system – and we’re only just BEGINNING to find out what the repercussions could be.
Because even when Big Pharma DOES churn out pharmaceuticals that beat back whatever ails you…
Sometimes we find out later that those meds could have a LIMITED lifespan.
Look at cancer, for instance.
The disease becomes a MOVING TARGET when the chemotherapy that you were using… and that WAS working… is no longer effective.
Because cancer cells can LEARN… and EVOLVE. And these already “immortal” cells can develop ways to RESIST the cytotoxic effects of cancer drugs.
And not just one drug… but MULTIPLE drugs!
What do you do then?
That’s why I spend so much time researching and sharing with you the cancer-fighting agents found in nature – many of which can work on multi-drug-resistant cancer cells.
When conventional care runs out of options… they could help give you a “Plan B.”
There is hope…
And here’s something that’s been showing great promise.
A ‘Plan B’… for the ‘Big C’?
In Kenya, the locals use lumber from African satinwood (Zanthoxylum gilletii) for all kinds of building projects.
It’s a popular type of wood for making anything from walking sticks to drums and other musical instruments.
But the Kenyans ALSO use this treasured tree for its healing powers…
And Western medicine is just starting to catch on.
In a 2016 in vitro study, researchers found that the stem bark extract of this Kenyan tree was able to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells.
And then, in 2018, something really exciting happened…
Researchers extracted a compound called lupeol from African satinwood stem bark… and it demonstrated SIGNIFICANT cytotoxicity against multi-drug-resistant leukemia cells.
That means that cancer cells that had learned to REPEL chemo drugs were TAKEN DOWN… by a naturally-derived substance!
But it turns out that lupeol isn’t just a “one trick pony”…
Because this compound worked by SEVERAL different mechanisms against leukemia cells – but not just that ONE type of cancer.
It was ALSO effective against brain cancer (glioblastoma) and liver cancer cells and drug-resistant cells of breast and colon cancer.
And when extracted from other plants, lupeol has previously shown strong activity against human breast, lung, and colon cancer cells.
The 2018 study found out the best news of all about the African satinwood-derived lupeol…
While on the warpath against the cancer cells, it was highly SELECTIVE!
That’s right – it left healthy cells ALONE.
Now, obviously what happens in a lab dish isn’t always the same as what happens in a human body.
But the research so far is promising…
We just need MORE of it. And on REAL PEOPLE.
Until that happens, you won’t find African satinwood extracts in your local supplement aisle.
But you WILL find lupeol (sometimes also called Fagarsterol) naturally in some fruits… like mangoes, grapes, and strawberries.
Even olive oil contains lupeol!
And given its anti-inflammatory action… and other health benefits… I bet you’ll be hearing more about lupeol in supplements moving forward.
I’ll keep you updated right here in eAlert.
To having a cancer drug “backup plan,”
