[Exposed] Big Pharma’s $800 Million Alzheimer’s Scam
It’s $800 million worth of junk…
Sold to grandmothers, grandfathers, and some of the most medically vulnerable people in the world.
Just five years ago, Big Pharma began rolling out a new class of so-called “anti-amyloid” drugs.
The premise was simple…
The drugs would help clear out amyloid plaques in Alzheimer’s brains, and slow – or even reverse – symptoms.
Alzheimer’s patients suffered brain bleeds during the clinical trials.
Some of them even died.
But none of that stopped the $800-million-a-year money train these drugs became.
Now, a stunning review is finally calling these anti-amyloid drugs what they are…
Junk.
Countless seniors and their families were taken for a years-long ride.
But is anyone going to do anything about it?
You may not have heard of the Cochrane Collaboration before.
But, trust me, Cochrane is a household name in the medical research community.
They provide comprehensive research on drugs and other health issues – and they are considered the gold standard.
If Cochrane says something works, it works. If they say something is junk, it’s junk.
And Cochrane is now saying – clearly and convincingly – that anti-amyloid Alzheimer’s drugs are junk.
Cochrane just performed a “meta-analysis” where they pooled together the results of 17 studies on these drugs, involving more than 20,000 patients.
They looked at trials involving anti-amyloid medications like aducanumab, donanemab, lecanemab, and more.
And they couldn’t find any evidence that these medications make a darned bit of difference for Alzheimer’s patients.
But don’t just take my word for it… Here’s what the lead author, Italian neurologist Dr. Francesco Nonino, had to say:
“Unfortunately, the evidence suggests that these drugs make no meaningful difference to patients. There is now a convincing body of evidence… that there is no clinically meaningful effect.”
Translation? These drugs don’t work… at all.
And that makes perfect sense when you realize that these medications were developed based on research that was rife with fraud.
I’m serious… Investigators have uncovered rampant fraud in some of the early and influential work connecting amyloid plaques to Alzheimer’s.
But that didn’t stop the drug companies from developing an entire class of medications based on this flawed hypothesis…
It didn’t’ stop them from charging up to $30,000 a year for these drugs.
It didn’t stop them from building an anti-amyloid market that is now bringing in an estimated $800 million a year in sales.
And it didn’t stop the U.S. Food and Drug Administration from greenlighting the whole enterprise.
What should happen next? Well, that’s clear to me – these drugs should be pulled off the market.
They come with serious risks (like brain bleeds), and they are peddling false hope at a hefty, hefty price.
Doctors need to understand that Big Pharma has nothing worthwhile for them for Alzheimer’s treatment. And they need to open their minds to natural alternatives.
For example, huperzine-A – a compound from club moss – is being used all across China right now to help treat Alzheimer’s.
It’s backed by years of research and clinical use – and it darned sure doesn’t cost $30,000 a year.
But getting the U.S. medical establishment to accept these types of products requires a massive sea change – and a willingness to stand up to the drug companies.
That’s not going to happen overnight.
But it starts with Americans like us knowing the truth… and demanding better.
