The best time to eat MEAT?
Whether it’s a mouthwatering steak… juicy chicken… or farm-fresh eggs…
Eating plenty of PROTEIN is the building block for strong, healthy muscles.
But one study has honed in on the BEST time to eat your protein. It’s a trick that could do wonders for preventing age-related weakness!
A Japanese research study found that eating protein EARLY in the day (specifically breakfast) builds muscles BETTER than eating it at night!
Eating protein daily is critical when it comes to maintaining your body’s muscle mass and overall strength, which can help prevent age-related weakness.
Protein also consists of long-chain amino acids that promote the growth of your skeletal muscles. These essentially help your body ‘move,’ making it critical to consume an adequate amount of protein.
But why is eating it in the MORNING better than the evening?
It all has to do with your circadian rhythm—your body’s internal biological clock that controls your metabolism, sleep cycle, and overall development.
But as the day wears on, your circadian rhythm tends to ‘slow down’ to ready your body for sleep. This also means your body is less efficient at absorbing vital proteins.
So, eating a good supply of protein with your morning breakfast ensures your body IS absorbing it.
I don’t know about you, but breakfast ‘proteins’ like mouthwatering sausage, Greek yogurt, and eggs are some of the best foods out there!
One of my ‘go-to’ ways to eat protein at breakfast is making casseroles packed with eggs, meats like bacon or sausage, cheese, and spinach—which are packed with protein that will keep you full and nourished throughout the morning.
And best of all, many can be made in advance so you can quickly and easily serve yourself breakfast during the week.
Do a quick Google search and you can find some of your own go-to recipes.
To loving breakfast,
