You could now be looking for a QUICK FIX to shed some of those unwanted pounds.

Maybe you’re considering a crash diet or weight loss pills.

But, here’s the thing about these quick fixes: they may yield some short-term results… but offer no long-term success (hint: the weight keeps coming back).

Let’s look at a time-tested way to naturally shed unwanted pounds—that KEEPS them off!

Let’s think about when the cavemen roamed the earth.

If they couldn’t kill it or grow it, they wouldn’t have eaten it.

This philosophy is the foundation of the Paleo diet. Frankly, I don’t like to call it a “diet” as it’s more of a lifestyle.

It’s building your diet around eating lean meats like beef, chicken, and fish… fruits and vegetableshealthy fats like eggs and avocados… and even nuts and seeds like almonds and walnuts.

Though it’s associated with cavemen, the whole Paleo lifestyle is still fairly new, even “trendy.”

But these dietary building blocks are also the foundation of the Mediterranean diet—which has been around for centuries (and it’s a bit more mainstream).

The Mediterranean diet is much like Paleo, but it incorporates certain grains, dairy, and even legumes, which makes it more wholesome.

Regardless, both of these “lifestyles” can do the same stuff those popular weight loss pills promise—without any of the side effects.

For instance, active ingredient in Ozempic—a popular, mainstream weight loss drug—is semaglutide, which works by inducing satiety (the feeling of being satisfied or “full”) and suppresses your appetite.

Semaglutide mimics the role of your body’s natural hormone called GLP-1, which tells your body you have eaten, are full, and prepares to use the energy that comes from your food.

A diet rich in natural foods (and fats) essentially does the EXACT SAME THING.

Studies have found that your own stores of GLP-1 can be triggered by eating nutrient-dense foods like protein and healthy fats, which just so happen to be the foundation of Paleo.

Call me old-fashioned, but I’d sure as heck would prefer to eat mouthwatering steak, juicy chicken, fresh fish, and delicious eggs than popping unreliable and risky weight loss drugs.

As always, be sure to talk to your doctor before making a drastic change to your diet. It can be difficult to adjust to Paleo at first (especially if you’re accustomed a high-carb diet), so ease your way into things.

If you’re concerned that it could be too much, too soon… consider opting for the Mediterranean diet.
