What REALLY happens when you take WEIGHT LOSS pills
Friend, is there anything more TEMPTING and SALACIOUS than the ads for weight loss pills?
From gorgeous, bikini-clad bodies… to guys with rock-hard abs…
The makers of many weight loss pills do their best to sell a dream body packed in a bottle!
And people are buying in and forking over their money for this pipe dream… with global sales of obesity drugs expected to skyrocket to nearly $30 BILLION by 2030.
But today I’ve got a simple reason why you don’t need to be DOOPED by the “promise” of these drugs…
And how you can lose weight – safely and effectively – backed by real SCIENCE and not sex-appeal.
A recent report from NBC News just highlighted a very inconvenient truth about weight loss drugs.
Simply put – many people GAIN the weight BACK once they stop taking them!
The report discussed two drugs — Wegovy and Ozempic – designed to lower a person’s appetite to aid with weight loss.
The less calories you eat, the more weight you’ll lose. Which is right… but here’s the kicker…
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that that people who took Wegovy regained two-thirds of the weight they had lost when they went off the drug.
That study only talked about Wegovy – but it’s a microcosm of what’s really happening with weight loss drugs.
For starters, a trend of folks stopping these kinds of medications is on the rise.
People are either losing the weight they desire (thus not needing a pill any longer) … while many stop taking them due to cost, unpleasant side effects, or other health issues.
You’d think getting OFF of a pill would be a good thing, right?
Well, these types of drugs only work when you take them ALL THE TIME.
Dr. Domenica Rubino – the director of the Washington Center for Weight Management & Research in Arlington, Virginia – contributed to the recent NBC News report and said the following about these drugs.
“They are chronic medications,” she said, “which means you basically take them just like you take blood pressure medicine or diabetes medicine.”
In other words, they really only work if you’re HOOKED on them.
There’s simply a better path to losing weight… a path that doesn’t include a single pill.
Getting serious about losing weight starts with a better diet. Paleo and intermittent fasting are simple, effective eating plans that can help you shed weight – and KEEP IT OFF!
