Prescription drugs fleecing your RETIREMENT?
Friend, it’s a sad state of affairs.
Prescription drugs are becoming so COMMON… and so OVER-PRESCRIBED… they’re almost an American STAPLE!
Millions of Americans continue to line up to have their prescriptions filled each and every month…
In fact, the average out-of-pocket expense per year for all adults is $177… but skyrockets to $456 after the age of 65.
And that number could be even higher depending on HOW MANY prescriptions you’re taking.
Cha-ching, cha-ching!
New data says millions are willing to keep refilling their bottles while potentially sacrificing their financial freedom. And while health should always come first regardless of the cost…are these prescription-buying folks really staying healthy?
Today, we have a solution that doesn’t have to burn your savings.
A Penn State study says the use of prescription drugs isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
In fact, their new study finds that:
- American males will be on prescription drugs for 48% of their lives
- And females will be stuck on prescription drugs for 60% of their lives
And with adults 65 and older spending over $400 a year (at least) on prescriptions… well, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to connect these dots.
That’s literally THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars being pumped into the prescription drug production machine!
Could you imagine if that same money was put into RETIREMENT savings?
Unfortunately, prescription drugs aren’t going anywhere. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to be on them, either.
The first thing you need to do is make an appointment with your doctor and have a serious talk about any and all medications you’ve been prescribed.
Gather up all your prescriptions, put them in a bag, and go through each one with your doctor to ensure you are…
- Taking the right dosage and…
- Are on the right medications.
Question if there are any (natural!) alternatives to the drugs you’re on. And consider getting a second opinion, especially if your doctor can’t give you a straight answer!
Don’t be a victim of Big Pharma’s greed.
But if it’s imperative you stay on your prescriptions, there are options out there to help ease the burden of paying too much.
For instance, GoodRx is a free-to-use website that tracks prescription drug prices in the United States and provides free drug coupons for discounts on medications. It can also tell you what pharmacy in your area has the best prices.
