It’s rapidly becoming one of the more “trendy” diets out there…

It’s helped millions LOSE weight… LOWER high blood sugar… and even get BETTER sleep…

But here’s the thing…

Even if you’re fit and trim, new research says that this diet could STOP and even PREVENT Alzheimer’s disease!

And that’s something we can ALL get behind!

Intermittent fasting—or “time-restricted eating”—is catching on as a simple way for countless folks drop unwanted pounds.

While “fasting” doesn’t sound appealing, intermittent fasting isn’t really a “diet” per say—but rather a systematic eating cycle where you eat your daily meals in a specific 6-8 hour eating “window.”

Most folks utilizing intermittent fasting eat their “first” meal of the day around 11am-12noon… with their “last” meal of the day in the 6pm-7pm range. Eating in a certain window helps your body regulate proper blood sugar control and helps avoid overeating which can lead to weight gain.

But a new study around the benefits of intermittent fasting now says that it could prove beneficial in PREVENTING Alzheimer’s disease.

Animal studies at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine found that intermittent fasting has a positive impact on the body’s circadian rhythm—the internal biological clock in charge of regulating most of your physiological processes.

But for Alzheimer’s patients, upwards of 80% report body clock-related issues, such as trouble sleeping or worsening cognitive function at night—which can lead to an accumulation of amyloid proteins in the brain (a key hallmark Alzheimer’s disease).

Now, these initial findings between intermittent fasting, circadian rhythm, and Alzheimer’s were done on mice (not humans). However, human studies on intermittent fasting have noted that it helps reduce chronic inflammation—another trigger for the onset of Alzheimer’s.

If you have a history of Alzheimer’s in your family—or are beginning to show signs of memory loss—consider talking to your doctor about the benefits of intermittent fasting.

To stopping Alzheimer’s,

Sarah Reagan

PS – Intermittent fasting is great for weight loss. But this afternoon’s eAlert as I’ll touch on why many people can’t lose weight, why it has nothing to do with DIET, and how you can get back on track NATURALLY.
