A “big health” discovery I FINALLY agree with!
Folks, you know me…
I don’t take too much stock in some of the hyperbole that’s churned out from big-time health organizations.
And while there are plenty of folks that do life-saving work at these mega think-tanks… too often news comes out of these organizations that causes FEAR and KNEEJERK reactions.
But today, I’ve got some news straight out of one of the world’s LARGEST health bodies…
And I’ll be the first one to the front of the line to say…
I AGREE!
And I think you will too!
The World Health Organization (WHO) has finally come clean when it comes to SUGAR…
Recently announcing that you should NOT use sugar substitutes if you are trying to lose weight.
AMEN!
Here’s what WHO said about sugar substitutes and weight loss: “Replacing free sugars with non-sugar sweeteners does not help people control their weight long-term,” said Francesco Branca, director of WHO’s department of nutrition and food safety. “We did see a mild reduction of body weight in the short term, but it’s not going to be sustained.”
In other words, despite the mainstream promise that these substitutes can help you lose weight, even the WHO is telling you that they offer no real benefit.
But I’ll take things further than WHO’s latest announcement…
Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve been telling folks for YEARS that sugar substitutes are nothing but JUNK!
But unfortunately, these additives have become a staple in the typical Western diet.
Take diet soda for example. Science has already told us that diet beverages laced with artificial sweeteners increase your risk of stroke, dementia, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. obesity…
A study out of the United Kingdom even found that some of the most common artificial sweeteners can cause perfectly healthy gut bacteria to become diseased. And they can invade your GUT WALL – leading to more serious health issues.
So while I’m happy there’s some practical news about sugar coming to the forefront, I advise you to steer clear of all of the processed CRAP – including those “non-sugars.”
