‘Stretch’ away type 2 diabetes?
Mainstream docs will tell you there’s no chance it can “be resolved” …
UNLESS you pony up for a medicine cabinet full of prescription drugs.
But here’s the truth when it comes to living with… managing… and even STOPPING type 2 diabetes.
Simple, effective, and proven long-term LIFESTYLE changes (like diet and exercise) can reverse the course and put type 2 diabetes in your review mirror.
BUT there’s another lifestyle change that can keep your blood sugar from spiraling out of control.
Most mainstream docs will tell you it’s all hearsay and speculation…
But new research says it works AS WELL as one of the top diabetes meds.
A new study from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California have found that “mind-body” practices – like YOGA – can help control blood sugar levels for folks diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Yoga goes beyond a serious of intricate “stretches” and “poses” – it also incorporates deep breathing and serenity which are designed to bring harmony to your body and mind.
So you don’t have to be super limber to get the full benefits of yoga.
The study looked at 29 clinical trials and found that folks with type 2 diabetes who practiced yoga saw a 1% decrease in their hemoglobin A1C – which is your average blood sugar levels over the course of the past three months.
Now you might think, “1%… big deal”! (That’s what most mainstream docs would say…)
But, metformin – one of the top diabetes drugs on the market – has been found to reduce hemoglobin A1C by 1.1%.
So instead of taking a side-effect-riddled mainstream drug… you could get nearly the same effect naturally.
If you have type 2 diabetes, consider giving yoga a try. Most yoga studios offer “beginner” classes that focus more on breathing and basic postures than some of the more advanced stretching.
You can also find yoga classes online, and even stream classes at home through your phone, tablet, or TV.
If you’re on any diabetes medications, talk to your doctor about how they fit into any new lifestyle practices that can be beneficial for blood sugar control.
