First of all, peppermint oil offers some cosmetic benefits

In a 2014 animal study out of Korea, peppermint oil started working to promote hair growth in just 2 weeks

And by the 3-week mark, it OUTPERFORMED one of Big Pharma’s best-known hair restoration drugs (minoxidil).

Now, the hair that grew back wasn’t just “peach fuzz”… but strands that were LONG and THICK after just 4 weeks!

In that study, applying peppermint oil to the subjects’ skin also changed the hair follicles themselves – helping to INCREASE their number and EXTEND their depth.

And DEEPER hair follicles meant LONGER and STRONGER hair roots.

You may have also heard of a kinder, gentler type of chemical peel for aging skin known as the “peppermint peel.”

It’s considered a “soft” peel because it’s not as HARSH as some of the other ingredients out there — ones that merely SLOUGH OFF the outer layer of “old” skin cells, which can cause flaking and redness.

It appears to work by INHIBITING acetylcholinesterase (AChE), the enzyme that DESTROYS your brain’s supply of your “memory hormone” — the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

And folks with Alzheimer’s disease tend to experience DECLINING levels of this brain chemical. 

In a 2018 animal study out of India, subjects given menthol (the active component of peppermint) showed IMPROVED levels of acetylcholine

But that’s not all.

The proof was in the pudding – because those critters ALSO exhibited significantly better spatial learning and memory.

So, you may be particularly interested to know that in a 2016 study on real people, drinking peppermint tea was associated with improvements in…

  • long-term memory
  • working memory
  • alertness, and
  • mood.

For hair growth, you can choose a product similar to the one used in the study I mentioned above — 3% essential oil diluted in jojoba oil as a carrier oil. The researchers specifically used a brand out of France called Sanoflore.

But you can choose any 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential peppermint oil you like from any maker you trust. (Beware of any oils that are simply “peppermint flavoring”… and may be WATERED DOWN by sunflower oil, contaminants, and other ingredients.)

Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
