Your throat is RAW

Your forehead is BURNING UP

And you’re feeling downright MISERABLE.

No, you haven’t become the latest victim of a “pandemic virus.”

You’ve caught the “incurable” disease known as the common cold!

And all that coughing is doing a number on your airways.

Fortunately, there’s a way to NIP this viral infection in the bud

And SOOTHE the irritation and discomfort it can cause.

It’s a cooling herb from ancient Ireland – one whose healing reputation hasn’t made it “across the pond” to this country just yet!

But I’m here today to share with you the wonders it could work.

Sacred ‘queen cure’ for the common cold

Often found growing throughout the meadows of the British Isles, meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) is in full bloom during the months of June through August.

Ancient Celts considered it among their 3 most sacred herbs. And top-ranking Druids even called it their “Queen of the Meadow”!

During the Middle Ages, folks used meadowsweet to flavor “honey wine,” a.k.a. mead – hence its nickname, “meadsweet.”

In modern-day Europe, this “meadow flower” is traditionally used as an herbal remedy for cough and cold

And contemporary scientific research BACKS UP that traditional use.

You see, it turns out that meadowsweet contains a substance that PROTECTS your delicate respiratory tissues from damage — a slippery material called mucilage.

But that’s not all…

Because meadowsweet helps EXTINGUISH inflammation, too!

That’s because of its tannin content

But ALSO because it contains small amounts of aspirin-like compounds, called salicylates.

First discovered in meadowsweet the late 1830s, these salicylates – including salicylic acid – exhibit anti-inflammatory action similar to NSAIDs.

That’s right – they inhibit the COX-2 enzyme!

And that can do WONDERS for the aches and pains that inevitably show up when you catch a cold…

Including a KILLER headache.

That’s also the reason why meadowsweet could help bring down a fever!

There’s something else in meadowsweet’s “secret recipe” for beating back a cough… and the red, sore throat it can cause.

It contains a unique flavonoid called ulmarioside – which TURNS DOWN an excessive inflammatory response.

That usually happens when your immune system gets a little overzealous

And that’s when you start to feel REALLY sick.

This flavonoid also brings powerful antioxidant action to the table…

And NEUTRALIZING free radicals is an ESSENTIAL part of your recovery from any infection.

However, there’s a trick to using meadowsweet to treat the common cold.

You’ve got to start taking it at the FIRST signs of the viral infection!

Look for meadowsweet powder… tinctures… or even tea at your local health food store or online.

Fortunately, even though it’s similar to aspirin, meadowsweet is easier on your stomach.

But like aspirin, it could thin your blood – so don’t combine it with any Rx blood thinners you may already be taking.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
