There’s an herb in the sage family that grows throughout China, known by the scientific name Salvia plebeia, which translates to mean “common sage herb.”

Its medicinal value has been widely accepted… in China, anyway… since the Ming Dynasty, nearly 500 years ago.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s known as “Li Zhi Cao.

Its main action is as an anti-inflammatory, especially when it comes to the lungs… and other airways that become INFLAMED in an asthma attack.

It’s also LOADED with antimicrobial action – helping fight bacteria AND viruses, including the pandemic flu strain known as H1N1.

There are DOZENS of active compounds packed into each salvia leaf – SO many, in fact, that researchers haven’t been able to pinpoint just 1 or 2 that are responsible for their health benefits.

Maybe that’s why it hasn’t attracted the attention of Big Pharma yet for drug development… because the “recipe” is too complicated to reproduce in a laboratory!

Now, although its name indicates it’s for the “common folk”… you may not find this type of sage at your local health food store.

But a combination with Korean red ginseng is currently being studied as an extract known by code name “KGC03PS.”

A 2020 study out of Korea found that this herbal combo BEATS BACK inflammation in the airways of asthmatic mice

Most notably by BANISHING the excessive production of pro-inflammatory molecules known as cytokines.

And it’s that “cytokine storm” of inflammation that can really WRECK your lungs!

A 2019 study… also out of Korea… revealed how this same combo could ALLEVIATE respiratory discomfort and IMPROVE lung function in real people with mild respiratory symptoms.
