It’s a big week for this country…

And if you’re like many Americans, you’ve experienced your fair share of stress and anxiety.

A few occasional ups and downs are perfectly NORMAL – especially during a year like we’ve had.

But mention even a HINT of that to your doc… and he’ll SCRAMBLE to write you an Rx for a mood med.

Not so fast!

The problem with anti-anxiety meds… and antidepressants… is that they often become a LONG-TERM commitment.

You could find yourself STILL taking those pills… YEARS later… even if you no longer really NEED them!

Well, friend, I’d argue that you might’ve NEVER needed them in the first place.

But you don’t have to soldier on through stressful times like these completely on your own.

You can BOOST your mood… WITHOUT drugs… thanks to an ancient arctic root.

Burned out?

Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) is a succulent plant that grows best in northern European countries with cold climates, like Sweden and Iceland.

Legend has it that Vikings used its root to help them power through their long voyages…

And during the Cold War, Soviet scientists studied it in top-secret military tests!

But nowadays, you’ll find it used for mood complaints throughout Eastern Europe and Asia, too.

It’s one of the best known adaptogens – so named for their ability to help you ADAPT to various kinds of stressors.

That means that when you consume it, you could experience FEWER symptoms, like…

  • fatigue/exhaustion
  • lack of focus
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • emotional instability
  • and more.

And the symptoms that do occur could be LESS SEVERE.

In one study, participants who were suffering from “burnout” felt SIGNIFICANTLY better after taking rhodiola root – after just 3 days!

A powerful antioxidant, rhodiola also appears to work by helping to BALANCE certain brain chemicals that can contribute to feelings of stress and anxiety.

For one, it helps to reduce your levels of the “stress hormone,” a.k.a. cortisol.

And second, it helps to increase your levels of the neurotransmitter, serotonin.

Now, some of Big Pharma’s antidepressant meds ALSO work to “free up” your supply of serotonin…

And it’s true that they’ve proven to be STRONGER than rhodiola supplements.

But there’s a catch…

Because as a 2015 study out of the University of Pennsylvania showed, “prescription” strength can be TOO strong

And some folks can’t tolerate the side effects!

Besides, a bit of a gentler touch might be exactly what you need to RESOLVE your symptoms.

Look for a rhodiola root supplement that’s been standardized to contain 3% rosavins and 1% salidrosides – its two main active compounds.

The best-studied form of rhodiola is the patented extract known as SHR-5. Check the ingredient label to be sure what your supplement contains.

Research shows that for anxiety, taking 200 mg twice daily for 14 days should do the trick.

For depression, it might take a little longer – up to 3 months’ time.

You can also find rhodiola as an ingredient in adrenal support formulasadaptogen blends… and nootropic formulas.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, rhodiola is known as “Hong Jing Tian”… and is often combined with ginkgo biloba and schisandra berry.

To not MEDICATING your mood,

Melissa Young

P.S. There’s a sacred flower that can help you become RESILIENT to stress… even if you’re hit by something you NEVER saw coming. It’s an herbal “brain tonic” from ancient India that can help bring serenity in times of adversity.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
