Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) is an ancient grain with a nutty flavor that can continue to grow in the hot, dry conditions of drought that would make other crops wither up and DIE.

It’s native to Africa’s Nile River Valley, with archaeological evidence of it dating back THOUSANDS of years.

Benjamin Franklin is credited with bringing sorghum to our attention in this country in the 18th century… but as a material for making brooms!

In some circles, sorghum is STILL referred to as “broom corn.”

Look for whole-grain sorghum in the grain aisle or at your local health food store. One study I mentioned above was able to produce STUNNING results… just by giving study subjects sorghum muffins!

There’s also a special form of this grain that was developed by Texas A&M University, called Onyx sorghum. You can find it as an ingredient in certain cereal products.

Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
