It starts out innocently enough… with a forgotten word or name… or telling the same story over and over again.

After all, you’ve got a lot on your mind…

And maybe you’re just not as quick-witted as you used to be.

But if something more sinister is going on… like cognitive impairment or even Alzheimer’s… you’ll find out soon enough.

And no New York Times crossword or other brain puzzle will help you RECLAIM the brain power you’ve lost.

But scientists may have discovered ANOTHER way to do just that… using a special type of flora from the tropics.

It’s a calming nerve tonic… with a “secret weapon.”

How it works may SHOCK you…

But the pieces of this puzzle fit together PERFECTLY!

Tropical trick combats brain drain

You know this climbing vine by the name passionflower… originally named by Christian missionaries as a teaching aid about the final days (or “Passion”) of Jesus Christ.

Hence its other nickname, the “flower of the five wounds” – a reference to Christ’s crucifixion.

The beautiful blooms of this plant that you may have seen growing… or even cultivated yourself… are usually classified as Passiflora incarnata.

Passionfruit, however, usually comes from ANOTHER passionflower plant, Passiflora edulis, from South America.

And it’s the extracts from the stem, leaves, and roots of Passiflora edulis that could potentially SAVE YOUR BRAIN.

That’s where you’ll find a number of flavonoids, including a powerful anti-inflammatory compound called apigenin.

It’s tiny enough to cross the blood-brain barrier… and get to working EXACTLY where you need it.

And inflammation could be one of the BIGGEST culprits behind neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Now, passionflower has also been established as a natural cure for depression and anxiety – two mood conditions that can PLAGUE anyone with the onset of cognitive impairment. (I can’t think of anything MORE depressing or anxiety-provoking!)

It could also help you sleep – and lack of sleep has been linked to dementia risk, time and again.

But there’s another trick that passionflower has got up its sleeve when it comes to keeping you SHARP AS A TACK… and your mind working like a STEEL TRAP.

And that’s its power as a potent antiviral agent.

This could be the “missing link” that the mainstream hasn’t put together yet!

Now, you may be thinking of a virus as the cause of the common cold or flu…

But there’s one virus in particular that’s been implicated in Alzheimer’s disease – and that’s herpes.

At least HALF of all Alzheimer’s cases can be linked to the herpes simplex virus (HSV)!

A 2013 in vitro study out of Israel found that passionflower leaf extracts inhibited MULTIPLE strains of herpes virus, including…

  1. HSV-1 (cold sores)
  2. HSV-2 (genital herpes), and
  3. VZV (Varicella-Zoster virus, the cause of chickenpox and shingles).

It’s incredibly rare… if not UNHEARD OF… for any plant extract to be effective against ALL THREE.

And guess what?

ALL THREE of those herpes strains that passionflower helps ERADICATE have been linked to Alzheimer’s!

So why have nearly SEVEN YEARS gone by with ZERO progress on getting passionflower on the docket for Alzheimer’s patients?

Either somebody’s not connecting the dots…

Or Big Pharma is too powerful and would rather leapfrog over safe and widely available natural remedies with antiherpetic action… straight into developing antiviral drugs that they can make a buck on.

I think we both know the score here.

Look for passionflower supplements at your local health food store or online – and make sure it’s Passiflora edulis (or “purple passionfruit”) that’s listed in the ingredients.

Both passionfruit and passionflowers are edible and nutritious… so feel free to indulge.
