Allergy season may be over…

But we’re in the thick of cold and flu season.

And when it comes down to it… the symptoms you experience often FEEL the same.

In winter, our eyes can take a beating from the dry, cold winddustinfections… and even sun exposure.

Winter glare is a doozy!

And we’re not immune to eye strain — especially if it’s “screen”-related — ANY time of year.

Whether the cause is allergies… irritation… or an infection… there’s a way to RESCUE your itching, burning eyes.

It’s a time-tested herb that could REDUCE waterinessERASE inflammation… and get your eyes clear, bright, and smiling again!

Ol’ ‘Red Eyes’ is back

There are 450 species of Euphrasia known as “eyebright”…

But the “doctor’s version” you want to use for your eyes is Euphrasia officinalis.

In the Greek language, the word “euphrasia” means gladnesscheerfulness… or even euphoria

And that’s exactly how you might feel if using eyebright helps soothe your irritated, strained eyes!

The mainstream has ONLY accepted this ancient herb as a food flavoring.

But even they can’t deny how its medicinal value has been established by traditional use — since the days of the classical herbalists, dating back to ancient Greece and Rome.

Its usefulness has been widely documented since the 14th century… ESPECIALLY in European traditional medicines of countries like Germany and Austria.

That’s FAR from some tribal witchcraft or savage voodoo!

And that’s why the European Medicines Agency has been FORCED to acknowledge eyebright as a part of homeopathic medicine.

The science confirms that traditional knowledge, too.

A 2017 in vitro study out of Italy found that an eyebright eyedrop that also contained chamomile helped EXTINGUISH UV inflammation in human corneal cells… and even REPAIR existing damage.

In an in vivo study on real people with conjunctivitis, drops containing eyebright and rose helped over 80% achieve COMPLETE relief.

Their redness… swelling… burning… and “eye goop”… were GONE…

And in as little as one week.

On average, conjunctivitis is known to resolve itself with two weeks… but it COULD take longer.

And you’re miserable in the meantime.

At the very least, eyebright eyedrops could noticeably improve your eye symptoms more quickly.

Naysayers have claimed that these studies don’t PROVE that eyebright works because it wasn’t used on its own…

But MANY… if not MOST… herbs must be used in combination with others for MAXIMUM effectiveness.

That’s why Traditional Chinese Medicine generally recommends AGAINST using any one isolated herb for therapeutic purposes.

Here’s what recent research has taught us about eyebright… and why it DOES, in fact, work…

It contains DRYING tanninsHEALING flavonoids like luteolin and quercetin… and PROTECTIVE iridoid glycosides like aucubin.

That gives eyebright all the characteristics you need in a salve for irritated eyes:

  • antihistamine, as it INHIBITS your immune system’s mast cells
  • antibacterial, to ERADICATE infectious agents
  • anti-inflammatory, to SOOTH redness, itching, and burning, and
  • astringent, to TURN OFF the waterworks.

Most preparations use the above-ground parts of the plant (the parts you can see) – including its leaves, stems, and small, white flowers.

Traditionally, eyebright is made into a tea and applied to the eyes as a warm compress.

Unfortunately, that opens up the door to contamination

And you don’t want to CATCH one infection simply by trying to TREAT another.

Instead, look for sterile eyedrops at your local health food store or online.

Studies show that an effective dose is 1 or more drops per eye as needed, at least 3 times a day.

If you’re squeamish about putting eyebright directly into your eye, you CAN take oral supplements… but those will take some time to travel through your digestive system.

You may see eyebright products listed as containing Euphrasia rostkoviana, but don’t worry – most scientists agree it’s the same thing.

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
