‘Nose trick’ CHASES anxiety and sleep troubles away

The eyes may be the window to the soul… and the key to a man’s heart may be through his stomach…

But there’s another body part NO ONE is talking about – and it’s a surefire way to tap into your emotions.

Your nose!

Because it turns out your sense of smell has got a direct circuit to your brain.

Bad feelings are always going to creep in, of course.

But the secret to chasing them away is taking a deep breath of the right scent.

And one of the most powerful ones for combating anxiety comes from an aromatic white garden flower.

Its blossoms may be tiny… but they pack a BIG punch in the olfactory department!

TRANQUILIZE anxious feelings with THIS

The flower with one of the strongest fragrances you’ll find is the cape jasmine (Gardenia jasminoides).

The wind can carry its scent for miles.

And all those who find themselves in its path are overcome by a wave of calmness!

The word “jasmine” comes from the Persian term “yâsamin,” which means “gift from God.”

The cape jasmine isn’t actually TRUE jasmine (a.k.a. Jasminum)… but a kind of gardenia.

But its staggering ability to promote tranquility helps it live up to its sacred name.

It’s no wonder that it’s the favorite flower of Polynesians, who string them together to make the floral garlands (or “leis”) that they wear around their necks!

Is there anyplace MORE tranquil than the Hawaiian Islands?!

If you’ve ever caught a whiff of the cape jasmine, you know how those feelings of relaxation and bliss can wash right over you.

And we’ve got the scientific evidence to back that experience up.

In an animal study published in a 2010 issue of the Journal of Biological Chemistry, German researchers included cape jasmine among HUNDREDS of fragrances to determine their effects on mood.

And this soothing scent came out on top.

The researchers found that the smell of jasmine can be just as relaxing and calming as a benzo or even a sedative

But sniffing the scent came with ZERO side effects.

It turns out that the aroma boosts the neurotransmitter GABA – which is exactly how those prescription “chill pills” work.

Think of GABA as an “off” switch for your overactive anxiety.

And boosted GABA can help you sleep better, too.

Now, the version of jasmine used in the study was a patented fragrance called “Vertacetal coeur” – an “aroma molecule” from a chemical company called Symrise that’s used in the manufacture of perfumes.

But you don’t need a chemically engineered version of cape jasmine… when you can easily get the REAL THING!

Although cape jasmine originated in Asia and was first cultivated in China a thousand years ago… it’s been a fixture of English gardens since the 1700s.

And in many of the temperate areas of this country, it’s become a favorite houseplant.

Since they only bloom in the summer and autumn – when they’re most fragrant – you may choose to use its essential oil as aromatherapy the rest of the year.

Make sure it’s 100% therapeutic grade.

If you decide to plant it in your own garden, another option is Jasminum capense or Jasminum angulare, a.k.a. wild jasmine. Just protect it from frost.
