Guys, when you’re diagnosed with prostate cancer, you can’t help but think about all you have to lose.
And it’s not just your life…
Your doc will tell you there’s only ONE way to save your “manly parts” from getting cut out of your body.
But even if you avoid surgical CASTRATION… you’re in the crosshairs to be castrated CHEMICALLY!
It’s an all-too-common treatment that can make your quality of life take a NOSEDIVE.
That’s not the worst of it…
Because the latest research shows that DEPRIVING you of your male hormones can make you lose your MENTAL GRIP.
Your head needs your ‘down there’ hormones
The theory is that male hormones like testosterone – a.k.a. “androgens” – can help spread prostate cancer throughout the rest of your body.
The mainstream’s solution?
Cut off your supply!
But now we know that androgen deprivation therapy can send your cognitive function PLUMMETING.
ADT uses two main kinds of hormone-suppressing drugs:
- androgen synthesis inhibitors
- second-generation antiandrogens
According to a recent study published in JAMA Oncology, UPenn researchers found that BOTH of them can significantly increase your risk for developing dementia later in life.
And the more doses of ADT you receive… the more your risk could increase.
In the study, guys who took up to 4 doses of ADT showed a 19% increased risk of both Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
Taking 5 to 8 doses of ADT jacked the increased risk up to 28% for Alzheimer’s and 24% for other dementias.
The patients’ risk also increased if they were undergoing other traditional cancer therapies, like chemo or radiation.
With an average follow-up of 8 years… including over 150,000 older guys with prostate cancer… this is the largest study to date to look at the link between hormonal deprivation and dementia.
It confirms what we’ve suspected all along…
Decreasing androgen levels has been shown to lead to:
- loss of lean body mass
- heart disease, and
Guess what? ALL of those are risk factors for dementia!
Now, these were guys who were ALREADY in their mid-70s – an overage of 76 years old to be exact.
They’d received ADT within 2 years of prostate cancer diagnosis.
With an average life expectancy for American men at just over 78 years old… if the cancer didn’t kill them, something else would!
If you’re an older guy with even an aggressive form of prostate cancer… and “watchful waiting” isn’t an option…
Why RUIN the little time you may have left on this earth?
Even if you expect to live longer than average… ADT is RENOWNED for having long-term effects on bone, sexual, and heart health.
So, what do you choose – getting rid of the cancer you have now or saving your precious memories?
It might not be an either/or situation.
An integrative oncologist can go over the risks with you… and determine whether there are any natural cancer cures that can help SLOW or STOP your tumor from spreading.
At the very least, they can work to MINIMIZE the ADT doses you’ll need…
And that, in turn, will minimize your RISK.
