Is the dairy industry serving you breast cancer with your morning cereal?

There’s a dangerous disease called bovine leukemia virus (BLV) that has now infected dairy cows in every corner of America.

You can catch it every time you drink a glass of milk or eat a slice of cheese. And researchers are warning that BLV may send your risk of developing breast cancer skyrocketing by 300 percent.

It’s a risk the USDA has been hiding from us for nearly 50 years.

And the same steps our government claims it’s taking to keep our milk supply safe may be making this virus more powerful — and deadly — than we ever imagined.

Holy cow!BLV isn’t something the dairy industry likes to talk about. But nine out of 10 herds of dairy cattle in the U.S. are carrying the virus right now.

And it can be passed straight to you or the people you love every time you drink that tall glass of morning milk — especially if that milk is pasteurized (I’ll tell you more about that in a moment).

Researchers from UC Berkeley just wrapped up a study where they looked at breast tissue from 239 women. And they found BLV in a shocking 59 percent of the samples from women with breast cancer.

Turns out having BLV in your system can triple your chances of getting breast cancer. And Dr. Getrude Buehring, who led the study, says BLV may be more likely to give you breast cancer than obesity, drinking alcoholic beverages, and dozens of other risk factors we’ve heard so much about.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t pasteurization — that super-heating process that destroys all the nutrients in milk — also supposed to kill all the bacteria and viruses, too?

Well, not so fast. Scientists discovered more than 30 years ago that pasteurization doesn’t kill BLV. It actually breaks the virus down into tiny fragments that can be even more deadly.

It practically gives this killer super powers!

As I told you, the USDA and the dairy industry have known about the risks of BLV for decades. There’s even been a 100 percent reliable test since 1969.

But our government still doesn’t require Big Dairy to screen milk for the virus. It’s like we’re giving these million-dollar dairy farms a “get out of jail free” card.

In fact, the only farmers the Feds ever seem to crack down on are the poor folks selling raw milk. And these are some of the only farmers who are regularly testing for BLV!

The truth is, our government could get this deadly disease out of our milk tomorrow if it wanted to. Countries like Denmark and Finland have been waging a war against BLV for years and have removed it from all of their dairy products.

What we need is for the USDA to start demanding that the dairy industry test cattle for BLV, and stop selling us tainted milk.

And that’s where you come in. To contact USDA head Tom Vilsack, go to this page and select “email the secretary” from the dropdown box.

Be sure to let him know that if the government is going to keep demanding we drink milk every day, the least they could do is make sure it doesn’t give us cancer.
