Don’t risk your vision for this popular but dangerous “therapy”

I’m not sure when “Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.” become “Take an aspirin every day and don’t bother calling me.”
But I do know this…
If you’ve gotten the line about a baby aspirin a day from your doctor, don’t swallow a thing until you know about this urgent new research.
Blinders…off!
Imagine if that daily baby aspirin meant you would never see your granddaughter’s smile again — or gaze at another sunset.
Because this new research shows us that that innocent little orange-flavored pill could actually steal your sight.
You probably already know the great risk age-related macular degeneration poses. AMD causes vision loss and even blindness. And as the name implies, the risk gets worse and worse as we get older.
Obviously, the LAST thing anyone wants to do is increase this terrible risk. But that’s exactly what happens with daily aspirin “therapy.”
And the really infuriating part is that I first started talking about this two years ago. In that study, those who took a daily low-dose aspirin were TWO TIMES more likely to develop wet age-related macular degeneration.
“Wet” is the advanced form of AMD. And it sharply increases blindness risk.
Even though we’ve known this for two full years, doctors continue to dole out baby aspirin like…well…baby aspirin.
And the evidence keeps piling up — making the warning even more urgent. Not one, but two new studies show how serious this risk is and how close the connection is.
The first study I found looked at about 5,000 subjects ranging in age from 40s to 80s. Researchers gave them eye exams every five years for 20 years. Lo and behold…regular aspirin use was significantly associated with wet AMD.
And the second was a 15-year Australian study that included more than 2,300 subjects. One of every four daily aspirin users developed wet AMD.
These are long-term, large population studies showing a clear and dangerous connection between taking a daily aspirin and potentially going blind!
Would you ever agree to aspirin therapy if your doctors told you it could increase your risk of going BLIND?!
Unfortunately, the side effects of a daily aspirin don’t stop there. Those 81 mgs pack quite a wallop and put you at serious risk…for blindness and other issues.
