The CDC wants you to prepare for a zombie apocalypse
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wants you to prepare for a zombie apocalypse.
They’re not saying it could happen, but they DO want you to be prepared.
Seriously…
On a CDC blog posting titled “Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse,” you’ll find this critical information: “If zombies did start roaming the streets, CDC would conduct an investigation much like any other disease outbreak. CDC would provide technical assistance to cities, states, or international partners dealing with a zombie infestation.”
Good to know!
This is actually a tongue-in-cheek way for the CDC to share emergency preparedness information — suitable for a zombie
apocalypse, flood, hurricane, or just about any other natural disaster.
But here’s the most surprising thing about this blog: At no time does the CDC encourage us to ward of zombies by getting a flu shot or warn that your teenage daughter will be safest if she’s gotten the Gardasil vaccine.
I mean…how can we take them seriously anymore?
