Your knees ache with every step. Your fingers feel stiff and swollen. And then comes the bone scan that tells you your bones are thinning, too.

For millions of seniors, the double burden of arthritis and osteoporosis means not just pain… but the fear of losing independence.

Doctors usually have one answer: more pills. Steroids, bone-thinning drugs, biologics. But those “solutions” come with a laundry list of risks—from gut bleeding to infections to fractures.

What if the fix wasn’t in a Big Pharma lab at all?

What if it was hiding in something as simple as a natural powder?

Researchers in Tehran recently tested a supplement called NBS (“Nutrition Bio-Shield,” also described as a healthy and live food powder) on rats with induced rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.

The results were eye-opening.

  • The powder reduced inflammation markers like rheumatoid factor (RF), CRP, and ESR.
  • It improved bone health markers like calcium, phosphorus, and alkaline phosphatase.
  • And it helped normalize blood health in animals showing signs of anemia.

And here’s the striking part: these changes didn’t come from a lab-made drug. They came from a concentrated blend of nutrients—vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants—that support your body’s own healing systems.

Think of it as giving your joints and bones the raw building blocks they need to repair themselves… while calming the fires of inflammation.

Here’s how it works:

  • Bone support: Minerals like calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus rebuild bone density.
  • Inflammation control: Vitamins A, C, and E act as antioxidants, reducing oxidative stress that worsens arthritis.
  • Immune balance: The blend seems to calm autoimmune over-activation, which drives RA flare-ups.

And while this study was in animals, the implications are huge: a single natural formula helped both arthritis AND osteoporosis at once.

Researchers report that the NBS powder isn’t made of anything exotic or futuristic. In fact, it’s a concentrated blend of nutrients you’ve probably heard of before:

Vitamins A, C, D, E, and K: protect against oxidative stress and help regulate bone turnover.

The full B-vitamin family: (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9) – critical for energy production, red blood cell health, and reducing inflammation.

Minerals: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, manganese, copper, and iron – all essential for bone strength and immune balance.

Trace nutrients (like boron): known to support joint health and bone density.

Omega fatty acids (3, 6, 9):  help lower inflammation and protect cartilage.

So this “miracle powder” isn’t a mystery chemical. It’s a smart combination of everyday nutrients.

While the NBS blend itself isn’t on the market yet, you don’t need to wait for a lab label to benefit. Here’s how you can approximate it:

  • Multivitamin/mineral supplement: Look for a high-quality formula that covers the basics — vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and a full B-complex, plus minerals like copper, zinc, magnesium, and manganese.
  • Bone-support add-ons: Consider targeted supplements like calcium (with vitamin K2 for absorption), boron, and magnesium if your multi is low in these.
  • Healthy fats: Add an omega-3 supplement (fish oil or algae-based), and balance with nuts/seeds that naturally provide omega-6 and omega-9.
  • Whole foods: Leafy greens, citrus, berries, seeds, and nuts naturally deliver much of what was in the NBS formula.

Just by taking a good multi, adding omegas, and eating a nutrient-dense diet, you may see many of the same benefits seen in the NBS studies.

I don’t know when this lab-tested powder may make it to pharmacy shelves — especially since Big Pharma has no incentive to push something they can’t patent.

But the research reinforces what many natural health experts have said all along: the right blend of nutrients can protect your joints and bones naturally.

And if this specific formula does become available? We’ll keep you posted.

To strong bones, supple joints… and powders that pack more punch than a pill bottle,

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
