Is a simple Chinese moss changing everything we thought we knew about Alzheimer’s disease?

Let’s face it—the moment you or someone you love is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, you’re practically written off by the medical establishment.

You’re told the disease is hopeless…

It won’t get better. It can’t get better.

But what if that isn’t true?

In a landmark study out of China, 58% of Alzheimer’s patients were remembering better and thinking more clearly… in just 8 weeks.

Most doctors would have told you it was impossible—but this simple moss compound is proving everyone wrong.

And every American worried about Alzheimer’s deserves to know about it.

The compound is huperzine A—extracted from Huperzia serrata, a type of club moss that grows in the mountains of China.

Traditional Chinese healers used it for centuries to treat fever and inflammation. But they also noticed something else—older patients taking it seemed sharper, clearer, more present.

Chinese researchers began studying it in the 1980s, isolating the active compound and testing it specifically for memory and cognitive decline.

Then they started putting huperzine A to the test… and what they found was remarkable.

In an 8-week study of 103 Alzheimer’s patients, researchers split participants into two groups. Half received huperzine A. Half got placebo.

After eight weeks, 58% of patients taking huperzine A showed measurable improvements in memory, cognition, and behavior.

That’s right… their condition didn’t deteriorate. It got better.

Another study compared huperzine A to donepezil, the most prescribed Alzheimer’s drug in America.

Huperzine A ran circles around it, as far as I’m concerned. It worked comparably to donepezil, but with far fewer side effects.

So what is huperzine A’s secret?

You see, Alzheimer’s disease destroys brain cells that produce acetylcholine—a neurotransmitter essential for memory and learning. As acetylcholine levels drop, memories fade and cognition declines.

Huperzine A works by blocking acetylcholinesterase—the enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine. Block the breakdown, and you preserve more of the neurotransmitter.

More acetylcholine means better signal transmission between neurons. Better memory. Clearer thinking.

Huperzine A supplements are widely available from reputable manufacturers. The dose used in Chinese studies typically ranged from 100-200 mcg twice daily.

Look for products standardized to at least 1% huperzine A content. Quality matters—independent third-party testing helps ensure purity and potency.

Anyone considering huperzine A should discuss it with their neurologist, especially if already taking prescription cholinesterase inhibitors. The mechanisms overlap, and coordination is essential.

Huperzine A isn’t a cure Alzheimer’s. The research doesn’t promise that. But it might improve some symptoms, delay progression, and preserve memory a little longer.

And that extra time it might give? Well, sometimes, that’s everything.

To holding onto every moment a little longer,

Meet the Health Sciences Institute

The Health Sciences Institute (HSI) is an independent organization established in 1998. We’re dedicated to uncovering and researching the most urgent advances in modern underground medicine. Things you WON’T hear about in the mainstream.

Whether they come from a laboratory in Malaysia, a clinic in South America, or a university in Germany, our goal is to bring the treatments that work directly to the people who need them. We alert our Members to exciting breakthroughs in medicine, show them exactly where to go to learn more, and help them understand how they and their families can benefit from these powerful discoveries.
